BATTLE! Team Mystic VS Team Gusketeers (block3)

[TheRogue]

Team Mystic was sitting on the ground watching the two Gusketeers helping out their leader.

Cory: 'Chocolate?'

Miruna: 'Thank you!'

Cory: 'Chocolate?'

Geo: 'Thank you! Pear?'

Cory: 'Thank you'

Geo: 'Pear?'

Miruna: 'Thank y-... no thanks, I'm on a chocolate only diet...'

(OOC: To anyone who didn't get it, they were passing out food)

Miruna: 'Phew, I tossed my last bar at that Gus guy, good thing you had some...'

Cory: 'You mean the guy in a trenchcoat? He's kinda cute!'

Geo: 'T-R-E-N-C-H-C-O-A-T!'

Cory: 'Chill, he probably doesen't even know the guy.'

Geo: 'T-R-E-N-C-H-C-O-A-T!'

Cory: 'Yo Gus, you friends whit Mr. Trenchcoat?'

Syn: 'Don't answer, they're trying to trick you!'

Gus: 'Huh?'

Cory: 'See? I told you he doesn't know anything.'

Miruna: 'Hmm... we were doing something, but I don't quite remember what...'

Cory: 'We were fighting, dummy.'

Miruna: 'Why did we stop?'

Cory: 'For some reason those guys think we're planning something.'

Miruna: 'And we're not?'

Cory: 'Actully we were just enjoying lunch.'

Miruna: 'Now I remember, I war fighting the Meru girl for my name, and Geo was fighting Gus 'cause their names both start with a 'G'...'

Cory: 'Than who am I supposed to fight?'

Cory stands up pointing at Syn: 'You have my name!!!'

Syn: 'Umm... no I don't.'

Cory: 'Oh...'

Cory sits herself back on the ground next to her team mates.

Geo: 'Pear?'

[Gus]

((Damn, that actually looks like me! Only... NO POCKETS! AND NO TIE!))

Syn looks at Gus. He's breathing hard, he looks really pissed. He shakes with fury. His eyes burn red... wait a minute. That's not normal, is it?

Syn: "Uh, Gus..? Do you have an eye problem or something?"

Gus: "The only problem I have is you guys. Don't hold me back! Now, it's a vendetta! I MUST BEAT THAT PUNK-ASS KID BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY!!"

The air behind him shimmers with heat. "Even...?"

Gus: "I- I can't lose. I can't let them stay dead. IT'S MY RESPONSIBILITY! I'VE GOTTA SAVE THEM! That's it! Time! LOKI, INTEGRATE WITH MY BODY!!!"

He explodes into flame. It coils around him as Syn and Meru leap away to avoid being burnt. His mana, somehow replenished beyond it's original state, glows red around him.

Gus: "COME OUT HERE, GEO! YOU WILL DIE HERE AND NOW! IT IS THE DESTINY OFF ALL WHO OPPOSE ME!!"

Syn looks at him with terror in her eyes. "k- kill? Gus..."

Gus: "SYN... IF YOU OPPOSE ME, I'LL KILL YOU TOO. NOW..."

A giant fireball forms in his hand. He raises his arm to hurl it at Geo, and...

"NO!"

Syn dives in the way. As it explodes on her body, she glares at Gus. "Damn... idiot... I can't let you kill anyone..."

Gus stares at her, lying blackened on the ground. "S... syn... I..." A tear runs down his cheek, quickly turning into steam. "Again... everyone I've ever cared for... DAMNIT! I MUST KILL GEO! I MUST... not... kill... ANYMORE!"

"GET OUT OF MY BODY, DAMN PUNK!!!!!!!"

The fire goes out. He falls to the ground, sobbing. Syn looks over and smiles weakly. "See...? I knew you could beat it..."

Geo, from across the stadium, nods and grins. "So... I should have known. (to Gus) So, d'you guys want some pears? They'll fix ya both right up!"

He throws them over, and the Gusketeers eat them. Gus looks up at Geo and, to everyone's surprise, grins.

Gus: "Heh. I feel great now. And now that I'm me again... care to finish this match?"

Geo grins: "Sure!"

All those in the arena give a little grin, then jump back into the fray.

Gus whispers to himself as he oversouls with Kazad; "Geo... and Syn... everyone... you helped me break him. Thanks to you... I'm finally free."

((So, that ends my "darkness"! For nw, that is...))

[Vasuki]

"Inbalence thret.... elliminated..." Geo said under his breath as he smiled at Vasuki.....

"Master Geo...I have a very serious question for you..."

"Yes, I know Vasuki, I really shouldn't have given then the pears to recover, but, I just assumed that after all that, it was the least I could do..."

"No...not that Master Geo... I am curious to as how you plan to defend against two giant blades being rapetedly slashed at a high speed....."

"Oh...well, I assume if the person using those blades was tall enough, and, had long enough arms, I suppose it might pose a problem, I wouldnt be able to dodge it really...."

"How tall master Geo?"

"Oh, about my, or Gus's height I would say"

"That is what I was afraid of...."

Geo turns to see Gus launch at him, rapidly slashing his arms, which the normal claws had tranformed into curved blades......

"Hmmm, I have an idea, he won't be able to use that attack very well if I run away...."

Geo then began to run away from Gus's attack

"You can't run forever Geo!!!!!" Gus cried as he pursued Geo around the stadium as Cory and Miruna took on Meru alone, she was proving quite the challenge, but, rest assured, the fight was quite boring, anyways, back to the cool stuff......

Geo ran from Gus for about a minute. Geo then suddenly stopped, cried out "Recnac! into the rod!"

Alicia looked down from the stands with curiosity...... "Recnac...that's a new one....."
The same thoughts were expressed by several others on and off the battlefield, as it soon became apparent what kind of spirit Recnac was.....



Geo had stopped right in front of Syn, who was kneeling, she had not yet eaten the pear, and was only able to slightly oversoul her skull staff.....

Unfortunately for her, Geo's new rod had formed a giant crab claw at the end of it, and it was poised to snap the skull in two...

"Gus, make one move and she is out....." Geo said firmly to Gus...

Gus responded quickily...."How...could you?...I thought we could end this as a real fight...."

"Heh, I am just adapting to the situation Gus, it is what I do...."

"Why you little punk...." Gus hushed....

"Uh uh uh now Gus..... this claw will snap that skull in two.......WOAAAHH!!!"



Gus questioned... "Two-woah?"

Geo found himself about six feet higher than he remembered himself being a few moments ago. Realizing he did not have growing powers, he looked down to find a tree... "not that odd" he thought to himself...but as he followed the mangled brances down, and along, and up...he saw that the tree was spawned from the very pear he had once planned to eat at 5PM the next day....

Syn stood up and calmly laughed...

"Heheh, I was scared for a while there...but that pear gave me the best idea to finish your team off yet! Using my abilities, I caused the..."

"I believe what you did was obvious deer girl......"

Syn blushed..."Oh...sorry... wait, deer girl?!" she started to become agitated.....

"Yah, you heard me, deer, hippy, tree hugging, whale saving, botanist spawning, bear fighting, deer girl!!!!!" Geo struggled to insult.....

Syn looked down, "You little....."

Then, right before she was about to launch an arrow right at Geo's eyes.... she looked up....



"OH NO!!!! you tricked me!!! I can't believe I fell for such a....."

Gus chimed in from the sidelines, "We know Syn...we know...but, you think you could stop channeling furyoku into the guy mabey?"

Syn looked back in shock...

"Oh dear..." Syn looked in horror, as she realized, that not only had the feelings Geo placed upon her caused the pears on the tree to grow, but, as Geo clamed on the pear, she was transfering her own energy into him.....

Suddenly, a cry was heard from near by...

"Kallisto!, swift strike, attack!"



With that, Geo was free...

"The pants are off now Syn! You are going down!!!!"

Geo instantly oversouled his two squid spirits and his wyvern into his new PATCH boots, and pumped more power into the Recnac rod.

"I am sorry Syn, but this has gone on long enough.....Your attack there was by far the best I have seen in the entire tournament....before I do this, I appologise for acusing your Elk of being a Pooka....."

Syn looks as Geo gets ready to charge....

"Wait...I don't under...what are you...."





With one swift motion, Syn was out of the battle...... as her burned body fell to her knees, the shattered skull fell around her.....

"I...don't understand....how could....this happen...." she softly wondered to herself....

Geo turned back toward where Gus and Cory were standing watching the events occur....

"Cory, go back and help Miruna finish off the X-law fangirl.....What do you say Gus? I obsorbed your friend's energy, and have obtained more than enough power for flight mode, what do you say we finish this now, TO THE SKIES!!!!!!!"


((OOC: My last big picture filled post for a while, I grow weary (4 hours of life drawing today...arm...dead.....alot of lazy mistakes made here as a result >_<) XD. Shouldnt be much longer anyways....))

[Gus]

Gus grins, and yells to Geo. "Heh, damn punk. Ya didn't have to break her medium, she was weak enough to beat anyway. But, I guess we should finish this... How about it? Super-Sudden Death! We each put all our remaining mana into a huge oversoul. First to break loses."

Geo looked startled. Vasuki whispered, "Master don't do it, he has the advantage when it comes to sheer power."

Geo: "Yeah, but thanks to Syn, I have more mana. I'll do it!"

Geo's fishing rod grew into a giant fish-snake-thing, and the floater grew little eyes that glared out at Gus from under a deadly curved sparkling sharp blue hook. Gus, on the other hand, had created a different oversoul from usual. As Geo watched, a giant black iron shape rose out of the ground. It looked like a human, yet bizarrely twisted and machinelike as well. Gus stood atop it, then ordered it to charge at Geo.

Geo, at the same moment, lunged at Gus.

Meru, momentarily distracted by Miruna, was caught unawares by Cory and her oversouls were broken in swift succession. Her mana finished, she collapsed onto the ground.

The two "G _ _"s collided in the air. A giant explosion occured. As the dust cleared...

Geo stood to one side with a barely-flickering fishing rod clenched in his right fist. Gus, a sad grin on his face, stood silent, his black trenchcoat looking completely natural and normal.

The Patch man, clearly surpised that such a powerful shaman as Gus could have lost, stuttered before speaking.

"Shaman fight over! The winner: TEAM MYSTIC!"

[Vasuki]

Miruna and Cory hugged each other and started boasting to each other about their win.....

Geo stood there, as his fishing rod finnaly stopped glowing....

Geo looked up to the sky for a bit, after turning to Vasuki...

"Hey Vas......thank you....tell the others...good job aswell....I wish I could stick around for the aftermath...."

"Master Geo...what do you mean?"

"Well, in my failed attempts to copy my openent's abilities....I, was injured..."

Geo stuttered, and regained speach....

"Well, that pear definately healed my energy, but, there was still the loss of blood, which I sorta forgot about...."

"You forgot about multiple gashes in your body?!" Vasuki cried...

"Yah...guess so...anyways, loss of blood seems to inhibit..."

Geo then collapses.

Sarah: Ouch, guess I'm getting pretty bad at guessing these. ^^;

Dixie: *is now holding up team Mystic flag*

Sarah: >.> oddly quick change of sides for you?

Sarah: MYSTIC ROCKS!

(OOC: It's allready over? This is not fare! I wanted to write something too!

"Shaman fight over! The winner: TEAM MYSTIC!"

Syn stared, awestricken, at the two team leaders; gathered fragments of her medium held tightly to her chest.

Most of the spectators had risen from their seats, and were now cheering noisily for the winning team. Some even leapt into the stadium to get a better look at the battered fighters.

That was the final call; the bell which sounded the defeat of the Three Gusketeers.

The realization hit Syn like a pointed rock to the face.

"Can you stand?" asked Meru, she hobbled over to her teammate, and offered a blistered hand. Syn nodded, reached for the hand, and struggled painfully to her feet. Pieces of deer skull fell from her grasp.

"Thank you," she said, forcing a smile.

"We should go talk to Gus," Meru suggested, motioning to their leader. He hadn't moved a muscle since Team Mystic had been announced the winners of the match.

Suddenly, Syn had a horrible feeling that something wasn't right. The scream, and the cry for help that followed, only verified that something was indeed very wrong.

Not too far away, Geo had collasped, due to his own wounds. It didn't look as though, even the elixir effect of his pears would do him much good now.

[Mystic]

(OOC: I'm back! ;D)

Miruna and Cory were jumping all over the place. They've finally won!
Suddently they hear a noice. They both see Geo collapsed and run to him.

Cory: ..Geo.....ummm....are you ok??

When not getting a respons Miruna turns to Vasuki.

Miruna:What happened to him? We should take him to the doctor!

(OOC: Short but will be continued tomorrow 'cause I have another final on Friday

Jr. watched the battle finish from his perch on the outer wall of the stadium, "Well, Geo is just full of surprises eh Joe?"

Joe couldn't believe his eyes, "He actually channeled Syn's furyoku into his own body? That was a brilliant strategy!!"

Jr. nodded, "It seems that he will be a difficult opponent if we face him."

Joe just looked at Jr.,"You should really worry about your first battle with Xeno-Ikkou."

"I haven't forgotten! Now...how do I get down form here?" Jr. asked.

Zinc looked Jr. curiously, "How did you get up here?"

Jr. juuts stared at Zinc for a moment before deciding to ignore him. (OOC: I don't know! XD)

Just as he was about to hop down from the ledge, there were cries for help from the arena. Geo had collapsed from his injuries.

"Joe?" Jr. asked.

"I know! We better get moving-" Joe began but was interrupted by Jr.

"No! I need you to help me down. That's a long fall and I'm just a little guy!" Jr. explained.

Joe sighed and caught Jr. as he jumped from the ledge.

"Now we should go and help Geo!" Joe yelled.

Jr. laughs as they head towards the arena, "Geo collapsing! And me with no seawater!"

[Pinkechidna]

Alicia was rushing down to where Geo was on the ground.

My Phoenix Down would help...IF I COULD JUST GET THROUGH THIS STUPID BIG ASS CROWD! She thought as she desperately tried to push past the mob of people.

[Konekone]

Little Zinc floated down from his and Jr's perch, with a trait he had learned through Oversoul with Fuuzaku. It was the same as Silva's- By Oversoul'ing a bird spirit into a feather, wings could be made.

The little Patch floated down, with flaps of the rather large wings, and landed softly, his crutch supporting him once on ground again.

"The winner is Team Mystic! YAY! Except for the mean man who twied to steal Fuuzaku! He not nice!" He squeaked, in protest, as his wings shuddered a little.

"Fuuzaku's still scawed of him!" He looked over to the crowd, and saw a familiar person. "Awicia-san!" He beamed, and floated over to her, with a flap of the wings.

[Gus]

Gus suddenly snaps out of his stupor, and turns slowly towards Zinc. "You... bastard... you... little... bastard..."

Zinc, slightly stunned at this incredible sense of hatred, is stunned.

Gus continues. "He... those pears... IF IT WASN'T FOR HIM I'D HAVE KILLED SYN! AND YOU INSULT HIM, AS HE LIES IN A POOL OF HIS OWN BLOOD?!?"

The small Patch boy starts to say something, but sees Gus has turned away from him.

Cory looks up, surprised and slightly confused to see Gus standing next to her, looking down at Geo's motionless body. "Is he...?"

"Well, I don't think he'll die, if that's what you're thinking. But he seriously needs medical attention. Stitches, probably.

Gus smiles slightly. "He won't die?"

"No."

"Thank god. I owe that man everything, and he can't die before I return the favor."

Gus turns, and walks towards his own teammates. "I... I'm sorry. You let me take charge, and I blew it. If I could do it all over... but I guess it's too late for that, huh. I'm sorry about the loss, I'm sorry about the whole 'possessed' thing, I'm sorry about your deer-head Syn, god, I'm sorry for everything, and if you never forgive me I wouldn't be surprised. But... well, I just want to thank you for supporting me. Without you, I could never have come this far. I owe as much to you guys as I do to Geo, maybe even more. It's been great to know you."

He turns away slightly, and Kazad appears in Spirit Ball mode. "What now, boss?"

"Heh. I suppose I'll stay here to watch the rest of the tournament. Then, I'll find someway else to bring them back. Suppose Germany'd be a good place to start, what with Dr. Faustus. But now that Loki's gone, I can do whatever. No fears, just me and you and a dream."

He looks at those around him, his friends and foes alike, and he smiles.

[Jr.]

Gus said:
