Hey! They screwed up!! (But did you see it?)

Hey everyone! I'm not exactly sure if this one was already started up, but if it is... I'm sorry. In this thread, we can talk about mistakes that were made in movies, anime, manga, television shows or whatever. If you spotted something that contradicted the story or just simply was an idiotic mistake on the crew's part, put it down here. You may have noticed something that no one else paid much attention to...

I'll start things off:

1. Dragon Ball GT (A Secret Revealed): In the scene where General Rilldo and Giru (what is that stupid thing's name) were transporting the metal slabs containing Goku and Pan, Giru is shown holding a slab that unmistakenly depicts Trunks (who was already captured and sent to Dr. Myuu earlier). However when he puts the slab on the transporter... the slab depicts Goku.

2. Naruto (Enter Naruto Uzumaki): Remember that part where Iruka pushes Naruto out of the way and takes Mizuki's kunai barrage? Well in that part they also depict Iruka tearing his shoulder from where one of the kunai stabbed him. However, at the near end of the episode the tear in the jacket is gone, as if the knife never hit Iruka there.

3. Pokemon (Mewtwo Strikes Back): Yeah this one's old but I must say it. In the scene where Team Rocket are watching as Mewtwo's cloning machine does its job, they incorrectly call Scyther Alakazam and Sandslash Sandshrew.

Okay, anyone else notice any other goof-ups?

1. Grease: When Vi's talking to Frenchie in the malt shop, she turns off the light with her elbow. However, you can clearly see that Vi's elbow bumps just below the lightswitch.

2. Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls- Ace picks a chess piece off of a board in one shot, but the pieces have vanished when the camera pans back to the board.

3. Star Wars: You can hear a Stormtrooper hitting his head as he walks through a doorway.

In the pilot for Rainbow Brite (yes, I'm dating myself), when Bit has to rescue the last 3 color kids, Buddy Blue is one of them tied to the back of Murky and Lurky's cart. But in the next scene (and for the rest of the episode), it's Patty O'Green (who she already rescued).

Now how in the heck did they miss that?!

1. Tokyo Mew Mew vol. 1: This very silly little mistake is in the chapter where Lettuce is intoduced. After fighting and calming her down, Ichigo tickles Lettuce as punishment for causing so much of a ruckus. However in the process of all that, Lettuce says that she's sorry to Ichigo and Masaya. But if you read that part over a good few times, you'll notice that Masaya was no where in the vicinity, only Mint was.

2. Saint Tail (VHS vol.1 A Thief of Hearts): This mistake happened twice in this tape, in the first and second episodes. When Saint Tail left a message, the voice actress would read the message that was put on the card... as if Saint Tail was saying it herself. But for those two episodes the actress said dialogues that were completely different from what the card said. I know you guys are wondering why I'm fussing about this one, but that normally happens when you use the wrong dialogue for something written in clear as day English.

-Ex. 1: In the first case, Saint Tail stole a fake diamond and gave it to a young girl who asked for it via a basket tied to a balloon. When the screen takes a close shot of the card that she left for the girl, it says "Take care of your grandfather," but the speaking dialogue says "This is for your grandfather."

-Ex. 2: This one was less forgivable, in the second case Saint Tail sends Asuka Jr. her first message which was written, "I will be collecting the *I don't remember what it was called* tiara tonight." But when Saint Tails voice came up, she said "I'm going after the *blah blah bad memory* tiara, try and stop me."

I'm not an OP fan, but that's f-ing hilarious.

In Mahou Sensei Negima (episode 16, I think), there's a shot that shows Makie and she has six fingers.

And in Air Gear (episode 15, by far the worst animated AG episode), there's a shot where an outline of a crow is still visible in someone's hands even after it flew away, so it looks like the person is missing part of her hand.

... I can't remember anymore.

(I just caught this one!) In volume one of Oh My Goddess! Keiichi reminds himself that Belldandy told him she loves him, but she hasn't. Also, her name should be anglicized as Verdandi (after the Norse goddess of the present.)

This one seemed a little bit off to me...

Kirby: Right Back at Ya!: Since I don't know the name or number of the episode, I'll call the episode Knuckle Joe vs. Masher 2 so that you guys will have an idea of what in the heck I'm talking about. Anyways, in the scene where Escargoon takes Knuckle Joe's medallion and finds the microchip behind his picture, he tells DDD that Joe's father must have hidden it there before giving it to him. But in the episode where Knuckle Joe was introduced, it was made clear that Knuckle Joe's father left the medallion with MetaKnight (not me... the real one).

An American Tail

Missing Sister: Fivel's baby sister, Tasha (I think's her name) dissapears pretty much once they get into America. BUT In Fivel Goes West, she appears to be alive and well, and about 2 years old. I dont know if the artists got bored of drawing her, or what. I also dont think it's a mistake, but I kinda think it to be so.

Missing Tail: All the mice have their tails sticking out from their pants, except the Irish one from the No Cat's In America song. In the song, his girlfriends tail was all the cat left behind, but he appears to not have one neither. Perhaps a cat injury?
I also dont think this is a mistake, more like something bothersome.


More I found via a websource:

While the story is set in 1886, the Victrola plays "The Stars and Stripes Forever", by Sousa, which wasn't composed until 1896

In the opening titles, Fievel's name is spelled "Feivel".


Fievel and his family board their ship in Hamburg, in northern Germany, but the band welcoming the passengers is a Bavarian traditional band that would never play there.


We see Fievel outside of a mouse school with little mice reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. This wasn't written until 1892, over six-and-a-half years after the 1886 setting of the story. In addition, the phrase "to the flag of the United States of America" is used; the original version of the Pledge featured instead "to my flag", and was not changed until 1923, 37 years after the setting of the story.


When Warren T. Rat sees Fievel through his mirror, the reflection is not reversed (note the position of the gold teeth).


One wide shot of New York features the Verrazano Narrows Bridge, which was not built until 1964.



A mouse on the boat to America tells a story involving a calico cat ("tortoiseshell"). Several times, he refers to the cat as "he" or "him". Unless suffering from an extremely rare genetic defect, all calico cats are female.



In the establishing shot of the water tower where Bridget leaves Fievel, the moon is high in the sky. A couple of shots later, as Fievel starts singing "Somewhere Out There", the moon is just rising over the horizon.

I was reading one of the Tokyo Mew Mew graphic novels (sorry I forgot the volume number) and I just happened to have caught this:

This mistake happened in the battle scene between Mew Mew Lettuce, Mew Mew Ichigo, and Mew Mew Mint. After calming her down, Ichigo ruthlessly "punishes" Lettuce by tickling her. While she's laughing to death, she shouts that she's sorry to Ichigo and Masaya. Yep... Masaya... I'm guessing that she meant to say "Mint."
Trust me I checked that entire chapter backwards, forwards, up, down, and even with a magnifying glass to see if I'm just blind and missed him.

I found another one only it's from the Ramna 1/2 series... but I forgot the volume # again. I'll put it here when I find it.

That wasn't originally supposed to be there, but in Episode II, they have Jango Fett bump his head on the way into the Slave I as an homage to that.

Ahahaha the famouse Zoro clone.I still don't know how they missed that XD.

I think it was Tokyo Mew Mew volume 3 that on the character page they messed up Pudding's and Zakuro's bios and mad Pudding seem likie she was the cool collective model and visa versa for Zakuro's.I've always found that funny.

Hello everybody! I finally found it!

Ranma 1/2- I'm confused whether it's volume 22 or 23, but it's the one where the infamous trio Herb, Lime, and Mint (I think) were introduced. After trapping Ranma in his female form, the trio continued on their way to fix Herb's "situation." Along the way, they're blocked by a group of crazy rapid monkeys, which Herb goes insane and brutally blasts them. The tiger guy (I seriously think his name was Mint) then says "Master Lime, they were already retreating!"

*points to the little wolf guy* But I thought he was Lime...

Pokemon- (Tree's A Crowd) This mistake was found during the "Who's that Pokemon?" segment. In this one they asked what Pokemon is descibed as 'having a tale that bites'. Hey, dum-dums at 4Kraps... don't you mean "having a tail that bites?"

There are a bunch of errors in the Tokyo Mew Mew manga.

1. The Engrish translations of the attacks: Lettuce Tanet (Lettuce Castanets), Zakuro/Zakuro's Pure (Zakuro Spear), etc.

2. Lettuce's attack is sometimes incorrectly called Ribbon Lettuce Flash and they can't seem to decide on a name for Ichigo's weapon either.

3. The reader is led to belive Tart is a girl when he's introduced because Ichigo calls him "her" and Kish calls him a witch.

Shanghai Noon: If you're a history nerd like me, you might have noticed that Van Cleef incorrectly calls Nevada a territory when preparing to hang Chon and Roy. It was already a state when the movie took place.
