fun episode..
Len got kissed HA HA HA HA, and the girls even made fun of his accent.
the oasis scene was funny too.
anyhow, at the end, they showed sneak peak of next esp.
lyserg is a boy... for those wondering about possible gender change.
Edit: slight title change for this thread to make things easier for me later ^_~ .

The oasis scene and one of the car scenes with Lily 5 is funny. The one where Sally wants to know where they're going and Sharona pulls a total blank with the other two whispering away in the back....And they rewrote it! And the scene in that house when they just realize their being duped. They wreaked the diolouge for that too! This is one of the funniest episodes I've seen and they went and redid all the lines!  |

Len's accent reminds me of no. 1 from kids next door.
4Kids should have said that he was from China anyway - Hong Kong was under UK control

I saw(ok taped it because I had a soccor game ^^;)it!! ;D I loved the oasis scene and the part when Ren got kissed and everyone made a deal about it!!It cracked me!! ;D    But how come they made Sharona sound like she was part French? ???Also they redid a lot of dialoge when the Lilly 5 was introducing themselfs.But all and all I still think it was a great epsoide.Oh!!i'm soo glad that they didn't make lyserg a girl.That would have been weird if they did and u knew that he was a boy^^; |

(Hong Kong= city with no mountains. Ren's house= Mountain filled region of China.) I'll be seein' the episode tomorrow~ |

Lyserg spoke once and his voice was kinda wierd and he also said "Say goodbye to your master Yoh" or something like that
man I don't want to wait another week ^^;

i thought lysergs voice was weird too....  ....it sounded...wrong...ahem... ok...how come sharona is french....? at least they kept the scene where the lily 5 introduced themselves and sharona says her name and yoh and the others were like: 'how come her name doesnt end with 'li'??' XD im worried about the next episode... not only becasue of lyserg but because of the funny scene in it about E.T. XP i just hope they dont rewrite it...thats my favorite comedy scene in mankin ;D |

Mankin thoughts of the week:
Just got back from watching this. Surprisingly enough I loved this episode.
Ussually, when the dub has an episode that is heavy on the gags and dialouge but light on the fighting, they ussually get rewritten pretty badly.
Sure, they cut out a joke or two, but for the most part, this episode was remarkably accurate. Not only that, but the few added jokes were ACTUALLY funny this time.
Sharona: *trying to hold back Sally* Remember what we went over!!! Think of the DEEP BLUE WATER!!!!
That had me cracking up.
Another added joke I liked, Was when Morty was talking to Anna and he was about to go...
Morty: Well... I'm going to go to the library...
Anna: The library?
Morty: Yeah.. you know... it has ...stuff... like books...
It was a line that COULD of come off as very sarcastic, but Morty's VA said it in such a cute way that it was great XD .
Odd things
The dub is STILL cutting out text. Why is this odd? The only text in this episode was all in english! It's just weird...
I'm surprised they kept the scene where Ryu was hugging Billy (well, originally their was a sound effect of kissing here though ^^;.) And I'm also surprised that they kept in the scene where Ryu was trying to kiss Yoh ^^; .
Thoughts on new voices:
I liked the Lilly5's voices... erm... I mean, "Sharona and the 'Ly's'" (I also kind of like that name ^o^ ) . Heck... even Sharona saying random french kind of fits her character (Sharona=trying to act cool) .
All in all, yeah, I liked this dubbed episode ^_^ .
EDIT: Oh yeah, from that little clip of Lyserg I actually like his dub voice. It was cute ^^; .
Also, I should point out that Sharona isn't actually French. In the dub it seems she just says french randomly to sound cool. It's funny because her accent is VERY American whenever she says anything in french XD (it seems intentional too.)

FUNimation does this to their shows, such as Dragonball Z, Case Closed, and Yu Yu Hakusho, just to a lesser extent (Japanese signs run wild). |

Len (dub version of Ren) would have had to actually live in the UK or a former colony (Hong Kong, Australia for instance) to actually pick up a British accent. If he was in the United States but his English teacher was British, it wouldn't matter what his English teacher (for one given year, anyways) was because he would have to be taught American English.
