Anyways, about the comparison... *reads it over* It's kinda amusing to me that they'd wipe the text from that welcome sign. Why did they feel the need to do that? o_O;
They did a decent job editting Sally's shirt like that. Usually edits like that look fake. (refer to 'Invulnerable Tao En' where they editted HoroHoro's hand when he was flicking En off. >_>)
The time edits are odd, really...
The cigarette thing is reasonable, so no comment on that, really.
Am I the only one that really doesn't understand the 'I like roses...' joke? o_o;; Yeah, I thought it was funny/cute, since it's not something I'd expect Ren to say on a regular basis, but... I just don't get it. *falls*

I suspect the video editors realised that they would be out of a job when the American episodes began, so they lied and said the series was still BRIMMING with Japanese text. (kidding)
About the time edits, I was told it was done just to give things a bigger sense of urgency. Still odd though ...
I think the rose thing was funny, not because of the words persay, but because of the tone Ren used when he said it. It was just cute ^.^ .

There is NO male voice actor I know of that can duplicate a voice like that... Frank Welker has a range of 5 octaves. Rio's line right before that is, "Be careful of roses boys, they always have thorns." He doesn't say flowers. Yes...I too have a tape this week. And the line does come off funny if you catch Rio's right before it. Also Lovely, I'm surprised your review didn't mention Morty's line: "...they have these really great things, called uhh books." since you said you liked it so much earlier in this thread...I agree, it was good timing and delivered well...came off really funny. Frank Welker doesn't work for 4kids though.

accually before lovely changed the title of my thread, this was my "universal reference" to season 2-and frankly will continue.
however i thought/did plan that i did mention in the post
"in the new esp.", but i did not do that.

Simple as that. It's confusing to have a single thread for multiple episodes. ESPECIALLY when I link to episode specific threads at the end of each episode comparison. I'm not trying to be rude, but I've previously expressed a desire for each dub episode to have a single thread. Anyone who wishes to discuss episode 27, please do so in the episode 27 thread. |
