I thought some people might be interested in the fact that FUNimation Productions (who will be releasing the Yu-Gi-Oh and Shaman King Uncut DVDs, as well as handeling about 50 other Anime series, including 4Kids's) is considering starting their own TV network. I dub it as "ZNetwork" because if it comes to be that's probably what it'll be called. Anyway, if you go to www.funimation.com, a pop-up window will come up. Don't close it. It's a survey on if you want an Anime Network to come. If it comes eventually, most of you won't have to worry about availability - FUNimation is a very persistent company, so they'll probably find a way to get it on the air, and available to most consumers. What does this have to do with Shaman King? They will be airing FUNimation licenses, and they sub-licensed Shaman King. This means that Uncut Shaman King would have a slight chance at broadcast. This could explain why they've been getting so many series lately... anyway, I'd reccomend visiting the site and taking the survey.

I doubt they would play SK uncut, even if they were to do this.
For one thing, most of the time they don't put shows on at the same time on one of the "Anime Network" type channels (the Adult Swim portion of Anime Network being the exception), so they wouldn't be playing SK on their channel and on Foxbox at the same time.
The second reason is similar to why Toei will not allow Sailormoon Sailorstars to be licensed for the US: if parents were to see the "uncut" version, they may not allow their children to watch even the "edited" version, seeing what the show is really like (Toei won't allow SMSSt to be edited, since it would be too heavily edited, and an uncut release would hurt SM's "Family Friendly" reputation).
I suppose it could be a possibility in the future, after SK is done on Foxbox, but I doubt it would be the "uncut" version.

This year? Or you mean next year? Shaman King consists of 64 episodes, and by the way the FoxBox tends to show reruns every other season, it might take a while...

I don't like the idea of Funimation making thier own network. I think there should just be ONE anime network. A wonderful fusion of everything ^___^ .... And really, I don't think Funimation even owns enough shows to make a network for them 0_o . Well, one could argue that they could just show DBZ and Detective Conan all day >:D .
Now, concerning whether Funimation would run the "more acurate" Shaman King episodes. Actually, I don't think they would be ALLOWED too. Funimation may have sublicenced the show for DVD release but I don't believe they have broadcast rights. This is all just assumptions on my part though. Just my 2 cents ^^ .

Well, they're supposedly going to get anime from other companies, and they have about 20 series now (they've been going pretty license-happy lately). No, there are only 64 episodes (25 eps from last season + 39 eps from this season = 64)

There couldn't be 39 eps this year because it's already October. They'll only be able to play 12 until January starts the new year. No, there are only 64 episodes (25 eps from last season + 39 eps from this season = 64) Err... then where did the 52 come from? (sorry if that sounded unintellegent)

Also, they will be showing Shaman King 52 times on the Fox Box this year - 39 new eps (3 already were shown), 13 reruns.

I thought Shaman King only ran for 52 episodes? I also doubt that Funimation would air the uncut English adaption of Shaman King on tevelision. Imagine what might happen if they did. The kids who're watching the English edited version of Shaman King would see it listed on the TVGuide Channel or whatever for Funimation's network, then thinking it's the same show they watch on Saturday mornings, will flip the TV to it. The kids will start watching this slightly more mature version of Shaman King and the parents will come into the room while they're watching it. I don't think I even have to explain what happens after this.

There's 64 episodes, not 52.
