Hey everyone ^_^ . I just thought I would start this thread early (the episode hasn't even aired yet for you people who watch on Saturday ^^; .)
I was a little rude in the epi 26 thread, but if you guys would please post your thoughts about a given episode in thier appropriate threads it would not only REALLY help me out, but it 's also helpfull to lurkers and the casual board viewer ^_~ .
Since I don't like to waste a post...
THE PREP PROCESS!!! (That Lovely uses to prepare for each episode of the dub ^^. It took a lot of trial and error to finally work this out for myself.)
1.) Watch the original episode during the week before the episode is set to air. (for example, tonight I watched epi 28.)
2.) During episode watching, I take screen caps of things I either really like, or things that I figure will get cut (such as signs, crosses, something particularly violent or slightly risque.)
3.) Jot down some quick thoughts about the episode in notepad and save ^_^ ! (If you want me to post them just ask. Not terribly in depth stuff though... I have a tendancy to ramble... such as right now...)
Erm... that's pretty much it. The day the dub airs I print out the original script and have it nearby as I watch the show.

Which episode is it? (I mean, just a quick overview of what happens) There's an episode airing soon, that looks new but I'm not sure if it's the right episode or not x.x

Erm... yes, Episode 28 is the episode that is going to be shown this weekend ^^; . The original tiitle was "Lyserg's Revenge".

Okay... haven't seen the original, but this one seems pretty good so far... I like Lyserg's voice.
Surprised that they kept the guy pointing the gun at Hao (or whatever his name is, I'm not completely sure)

ive seen the original! in spanish though..*cough* but the dialogue is the same in spanish...the cut out the scene where lysergs parents are lying dead on the floor....4kids makes it seem like his parents just 'disappeared' *mysterious music plays* ahem..right.. there were actually two things in the dub that actually made me laugh XD the first one was when anna was saying what the guys were probably doing...there was one line where she said something along the lines of this: "first theyll fight, then theyll make up and then theyll be all like 'oh your my boy!' the 'oh your my boy!' thing made me laugh XD the other thing was what TreyRacer has in the the quote thingy at the bottom of the post, which by the way i think you got it right ;D : "man if i ever saw zeke i'de be like 'waz'up?!' and he'd be like 'what?' and i'de be like 'WHAT?!'" side note: i think they make 'zeke' laugh too much where he shouldn't be laughing....  |

Random thoughts and babble about today's episode:
-Lyserg's dad is voiced by Frank Frankson. :O
-I'm bothered by the fact that Hao didn't look any younger 6 years ago than he does now.
-Lyserg's age has been boosted to 14. It wasn't said directly, but if you gather enough clues, that's what it comes to.
-Lyserg's surname was also pronounced differently. Instead it 'Dai-thel', it was Di-thel', with a short 'i'.
-ZenRyo came back! :D
That's it. I'll post again when my mind is more coherent. xD

that was so unlike anna. i loved it when she said something about throwing pudding.
then the phone rings and she's dressed up...again very un-anna-ish.
hahaha thanks resuri, that line made me crack up, i only wish i had taped it like my instict told me too.

I'm PO'd that the running gag of Anna doing anything to become wealthy was changed. I bet a lot of people saw her in hot springs wear, talking to a telemarketter and wondering wtf was going on... makes me wonder what the future team will be named now... but I will think in quiet or will fall into spoilers.
I am still astounded at how dubs have issues with having moments of silence...
"Trey" seems to have the Kero-syndrome... he's become a "duuuuuude".... I wasn't a Horohoro fan to begin with but I liked him just being a bit spacey... way to generalize.
Did I imagine it or is Morphine...er... Chloe... a Pokemon now?! The original didn't make noises like that unless I was just really hallucinating this morning...
The Ren convo about needing friends and all that stuff was well carried, imho.
... I think I just watch the dub to laugh at it. ^^;;

Ooh, yeah, I totally agree. It really bothered me. A fairy should not sound like that. xD
Really, though, what was the point of dubbing her? She doesn't even say anything. o_O That's like dubbing Kororo... which they did...

morphins dubbed voice sounds veeeeeeeeery disterbing.It was very annoying i agree,but it also sounded so gay.

but i didnt pay any heed to morphine's little fairy talk, i acually thought they left it in there from the sub ^^;

the pixie's sound wasnt as i expected it either, but notice the relationship between Kori and Chloe of not talking.
i just wanted to see 2 main parts,
when Len took Yoh out for a talk
when Len had to use spirit unity (i miss it so much... love the "possesion"-likeness of it...

Am I the only one who noticed 4Kids's lack of editing out Japanese and English text in this and the last episode? It's been happening in their Yugioh dub too. They even kept crosses in.
