I can't see why they should edit Chocolove... A lot of American stuff has a lot of racist stuff, so 4Kids can't really edit a non-racist charrie. After all, Mankin encourages non-racism... Except in the case of justified jokes about Americans, since they ask for it anyway, with their racism...

On thinking this post over, I apologise to every American on this board, since I'm English and Italian, so I can't go on about American racism.

I used to consider myself american, I hated people telling me I was Nicaraguan (even though I am) I prefer being called nicaraguan now, americans believe theyre superior to other races, and they freak out whenever something doesnt fit to 'their' likings. just *my* 2 cents (americans are allowed to bash me now)

Koh, I may not be american, but I lived in the US for 10 years before moving to Nica. (I was born in Cali.) People's first impression of me is a 'gringa' which means american here, usually towards someone who doesnt know how to speak spanish well (i.e- me) and I don't hang out with americans, (all the americans go to another school, and believe me they're all shallow, and to prove it, I was in that school before, and they spread rumors about me after I went to another school...T_T) I get this from the news, ok, I admit, I made a mistake, the US thinks they're superior, not all americans.

Even though you had a bad experience with Americans that doesnt meen that they're all bad. And I have only met a few racest americans in my whole life and especialy not in Cali since i live there.

They won't edit his lips in the manga... his lips are unedited in the dub anime and they already showed him on the splash page for the first chapter of SK. They might change the name, though.

I wonder if they'll keep his name Chocolove in the uncut DVDs... even if they change the subtitles, they can't change what he says.

In one really really bad fansub I have, they refer to him as "Love of Chocolate" T_T

Not necesarily... they showed Ponchi's erm... assets, in a splash page AND in an early volume of the manga, yet they still edit him in a later chapter.
