Epi 48: Horohoro is cool and cute!

I am sooo stressed right now with various things. And as it's late right now, I haven't been able to watch episode 48 yet. And it's been a looooong time since I've last seen the episode. I will try to watch and get a short "thoughts" section up sometime tomorrow morning.

So.... amongst the things I remember....

It's a Horohoro centric episode! A LOT better than the last one (that whole "environmental" episode) .
This episode also deals with (christian) religion, but not quite the same way the X-laws deal with it. This episode also deals with adult attitudes towards children.

Agh... that's all I remember. Well, that, and Horohoro came off as very "cool" this episode *laughs*. More tomorrow~

o_O As Lovely said, this is the Horo-centric episode. A few important things happen, and it has a pretty good point to it.

Erm...notes! Noting style! 0_o

**-The return of Pirika! XD Yep, Pirika comes back to tortu--I mean, train Horo for the Shaman Fight. She also has some humorous scenes as well. XD

[EDIT]* - Forgot to mention. >< We also find out in this episode that Pirika is the only one who finds Choco's jokes funny. XD

-This episode is mostly about adult's view on kids, there's this...preachy guy...(I forgot his name...did he even have one? o_O) who tells Horo he's too young to be participating in the Shaman Fight, and that "children aren't responsible enough" or something blah blah.
He ends up following Horo around and continues to tell him that's he's going to help Horo or something. His team also ends up fighting Horo's team afterward. ><

-There are a few humorous scenes at the beginning. XD Anna making Yoh train with pots on his arms while he's in a sitting position. The funny thing is that she's timing him, and when the timer goes off, she tells him it still hasn't gone off. XDD

-When the...preacher guy team...fights Horo's team, Ren and Choco manage to defeat the other guys easily, (whom I should add have weird Oversouls for the type of people they are o_o) but Horo has a bit of trouble with the main guy, it's there we see how serious Horo is with his dream, and how much he cares for Pirika (I think o_O).

-The preacher guy's Oversoul is a dragon...umm...it like...has a purpose...he said what it was...but I don't remember...O_O

-Horo with his hair down and his pretty battle outfit pwns. That is all.

-I really don't remember anything that could be edited. >< Maybe the preacher guy's point of views on things. But that's all I remember.**

Yes, my info sucks. XD Like Lovely, I haven't seen this episode in a while. But I tried to put as much as I could because Lovely asked me. ><

Do you think they're gonna edit off when Horo's in that uuuhhh... "Other Dimension" thing, and we see a quick shot of Pirika naked (of course, no naughty bits) screaming ...uuuhhh, I think "BROTHER!"?

Some Spoiler thoughts on the dub

**Team doom are extremely annoying, most likely thats not thier original name aswell.

Theres no talk about HoroHoro being too young at all, rather its changed to be the leader of team doom has been listening to music and finds his way to a hidden track called the prophecy which predicts he will defeat a blue haired shaman from the north and that will signal the beggining of the end for the world.

Anna and Prikas training seesions are funny Though in the dub the timer doesn't go off she just deliberately doesn't start it. I like the one at the end where Prika Triples HoroHoro's training session and of course Anna wont let Yoh stop training before HoroHoro finishes ;D

Kinda surprised to see Cory get a big chunk of he arm bitten off by the Dragon just prior to the alternate dimension bit.

This Ep also features the worst possible plothole so far. How did Prika get to Patch village? She bought a map online from Kallum. If she bought a map to patch village online how the hell did Manta with all his webskills fail to find that website?

Overall I don't think I saw much character development or any real moral from this epsidoe at all.**

HoroHoro originally sees his sister naked in the alternate dimension bit?!? im not sure theres any reasonable explanation for that; Her calling out to him yes, but naked is definately not normal. Sounds like an entirely appropriate edit to me.

Soooo... it sounds like they sucked the cool AND the moral from the episode. Great . Uh... still haven't re-watched the original yet. Damn you Xenosga II....

Edit: Well... let's not say "moral" exactly, more like... positive message and theme .

ok...i'm typing this while watching...just HAD to post my opinions so far

-the leader's voice sucks...it's driving me INSANE!

- the leader keeps adding verses to the song...HOW LONG IS THE DUMB SONG

-the way the leader "sings" the song that the dub made up, my ears won't stop bleeding

-Ren (len) said "i heard one bit a bat's head off" I couldn't help but giggle a little. why can't they say death, die, or kill, but they can say "bit a bat's head off"
