Well....If the pathway was originally silent, I have to say that 4Kids did a very good job of making it creepy. And...They had not only quotes from the show that had been said, but quotes from the character's unshown pasts, too! Such as a few girls chanting "Mari is a witch, Mari is a witch!" I found that pretty cool! And Yoh's echoing sigh had a nice effect with the silence in the background. Geez, if only the One Piece dub was as good as the later SK dub.....;_; Hmm...Other thoughts...HoroHoro was really cool to hear! And the X-laws who died, while their voices were a bit annoying to me, I didn't find them unbearable.....Luchist/Luca didn't have a very good dub voice, if you ask me..... The Battle between Yoh and Hao.....Yoh was awesome I must say when he stopped the Sof just before it punched him with his massive sword by holding it at it's chin. And dub Hao appears to enjoy saying "Gotcha!" when he grabs somebody. Horo, Ren, Choco, Faust, Ryu, Yoh, and Manta are scattered all all the place, but Hao's henchmen aren't. Weird.... It was odd seeing the bad guys uncouncious...... I mean, since the bad guys always seem to whomp the good guys...Poor Shamash.....The twitching....*shudders* But it wasn't that bad, I must admit. But that's just what I think. X-Laws getting whomped....That's the second time this series! I feel sorry for the ones who got killed....I have to admit, the most graphic one, but cool one, is when that Mystic Beam guy shoots a couple holes in the angel's chest.....and you get a back view of the guy collapsing dead. There was a whole lot of screaming this episode! Apparently, next episode, Mikihisa enters the battlefield! And by the looks of things, gets whomped. It would also appear that everyone wakes up or something, and Anna appears! Intresting.....

I missed the first 15 minutes of this episode because I messed up what time it was on. It looked like it was a really good episode from the last 10 minutes I saw.
So, my question. How does Jeanne survive at the beginning? I read through most of the posts on this thread but I didn't see anything mentioned unless I missed it.

*Feels like an idiot after posting the Gate/Door of Babylon question..... * So, my question. How does Jeanne survive at the beginning? I read through most of the posts on this thread but I didn't see anything mentioned unless I missed it. Based on what I know, apparently, Hao burned Jeanne, and threw her back into the iron maiden, but not actually checking if she was dead. Due to the cage holding the guys breaking, everyone assumed she was gone. However, she was still alive, healing in the iron maiden, but also gathering the strength to open the Door of Babylon. *Sniff* One hour and forty-four more minutes until Mankin. Damn, why can't Mankin air on Saturday in my area....

A bit off-topic, but.... I was online, and my friend was showing me this site that can translate your name into japanese, and would also tell you the meaning of your name. I was looking through the list, and upon hitting Z, a name caught my eyevision. Zeke. I looked at the meaning, and apparently, Zeke means God strengthens. Maybe 4Kids made a minor mistake in their name chossing...or...they knew? Thoughts? Comments? Could be any number of things. What you just mentioned. A shortening of "Ezekiel" from the Christian Bible... "This guy looks vaguely Western with that poncho. Let's call him Cody... Oh, that's been used already? How about Torgo?... Ok, how about Zeke?" As for the dub version of Morty's mom and Len's dad... they were last seen headed off together for some tropical beach somewhere. And yay for spirit cannabalism! After spending the rest of yesterday being dragged around by my mom on her stuff, I must say it was the highlight of my day.

Really interesting show today... Strangely, I thought that they would have Luchist explain or acknowledge that he had an angel spirit, too, but oh well..... Seeing as Goldva looks like the person who wants to uphold the rules, I do not think that s/he originally encouraged Silva to go stop the rising of the Gate. By the way, in the original, was Manta in the cage, too? Because in the last episode, he was outside with the rest of the X-Laws, and looking through some screenshots, it seems the dub put him in the cage. Frankly, I was laughing my head off when Silva and Kalim were peacefully flying, and then Mikihisa just appears out of nothing and kicks them, then just hovers by holding his ravens by the strings. Meh, I did feel somewhat sad when Denbat, Larch and Porf were killed, but the feeling faded after hearing the remaining X-Laws talk and despair. Another stupid question to ask: when the tower was rising, and Marco, Meene, Lyserg, Cebin, and Venstar were standing to protect it, was that blood or just their uniforms ripping *feels just as stupid as when he asked the Gate/Door question*? Despite it being a serious moment when the Door was pulling everyone in, I could not help but chuckle at seeing Faust hugging Eliza before getting sucked in ;D *gets beaten by the Faust fans*. And for my final annoying thought, despite what every said about the noises, what creeped me out at the end was seeing Shamash's arm go up, then later seeing his body twitch as the SoF ate him . Well, that's it. *lurks back into the dark corner, awaiting the next post...*

To answer the cage question, it was in the original as well, because it's a Plothole! Oh yeah, one thing I kept on forgetting to mention...When the X-Laws were swearing to protect Jeanne in the dub as the tower was rising, she said, "Thank you, my angels. " Considering what 4Kids is like, I found that shocking! Edit: Oh yeah, that was blood. It was black because black blood is...uhm.....non-evil and allowed to be in kids shows? Either that, or X-Laws are filled with Jam. *shot*

I missed the first 10 minutes of Shaman King because of the Hurricane Dennis update... and you know.... it was 2.5 days AWAY then and only had a 13% chance of coming here. -_-; And I missed the last episode of Sonic X... which I missed the FIRST time it aired too. Stupid weather! Arg!
Whoo, that episode was something else. I was wondering though... you see Zeke gather all his buddies up and they're lying around with him at the end... and you see half of Yoh's buddies fall randomly around... and from the posts here I can assume the other half are also around... but what about the X-laws? Did they randomly fall out too? And is it just me or is Lyserg faltering in his choice... he seemed to waver for a minute there, watching Yoh & Co. as they were trying to defend the X-laws before answering Jeanne.
Random points; - Seeing that big ole red hand come dropping out of the gate and grab Shamash... who was just staring blankly at the audience was really freaky cool. - No one, besides the obsessed fans like us, is going to remember who Horohoro is... they're confusing people! (But it was cool they used that line anyway) - It really seemed like Yoh & Co. working together is how they managed to escape the cage, but then later it's all like "Yeah... you thought together you were powerful enough to overthrow Jeanne? Well, no, you're not... she let you go. You're not strong after all... Tough break dudes."

Edit: Oh yeah, that was blood. It was black because black blood is...uhm.....non-evil and allowed to be in kids shows? Either that, or X-Laws are filled with Jam. *shot* Seriously? That was blood? Have you seen the original Mana-chan? Cause i was wondering the same thing...i mean it looked alot like blood but it couldve just been the ripping of teh uniform ;; I watched the episode at least 4 times yesterday~ ^o^ I lovelovelovelovelove iiit >3 Hmmm...Someone earlier said that when they were walking in the drug world part, they were saying stuff from like the past or something. Lyserg said something about a campfire ; Did he say that before? <<>>

*is laughing at the end of the episode now* i thought the SOF was eating a kangaroo!! *were they landed i thought it looked like Australia...* *laughs more*
when the SOF grabbed Shamash it was a total child play horro movie flash back.. perfectly timed to make you jump... awsome...
when Silva and Kalim were flying and then Mikihisa kicks then i said "wow that wasn't very nice look i'm just saying making your co-workers plummet 1,000 feet into hard desert floor isn't something they would appritiate" and then i say the way he was flying and laughed (i honestly think the was his shoulder were even was a drawing boo boo wouldn't he be more loop sided?)
creepy place.... hmmm they look like they all got shot...ok then.... there thoughts sure were noisy (side note WHAT FAUST'S THOUGHTS AIN'T GOOD ENOUGHT?)
hmm mantas hands could fit through the bars...if there was like a lock he could pick it would have been perfect...
manta: hey i think i see a lock? o.o
yoh: why would she put a lock on this thing?
manta: don't know but its my hieght and *sticks hand through and picks lock* BOYAH oh err i mean ecelent...
all: *jump down*
yoh: there went like 15 min. of plot...

Hmmm...Someone earlier said that when they were walking in the drug world part, they were saying stuff from like the past or something. Lyserg said something about a campfire ; Did he say that before? <<>> I think that was from episode 31, the fairy episode. And because I'm in an insensitive and annoying mood, here's a recap of the deaths in this episode : -Larch: buried under a mountain of men ;D (killed by Bill) -Denbat: became Swiss-cheese (killed by Turbine) -Porf: actually can't think of a bad or rude joke for this, and I still don't understand his death. Did the gong crush or slice him? -Shamash: tastes like chicken (eaten by the SoF) I also learned something in this episode: the person I thought was Porf was really Venstar ;D. *gets beaten by X-Law fans for mocking their deaths*

I actually sorta liked how they added in talking at the Freaky Drugged world part. o.o
And I think I know why they add sound to the silent parts... so little kids don't think their TV's sound is broken... X3;

Saturn - Jeanne doesn't ever die, she's capable of healing herself. How else would she go through torture in the Iron Maiden? >>
The black stuff ripping from the X-Laws' uniforms, that was in the original, so I guess you could say it was blood.

Yeah, I was pretty surprised that they left that in! Usually they'd take that kind of stuff out. Otherwise, they added Manta into some scenes at the beginning, otherwise, not too bad! (At least not as bad as their One Piece dub, even now, in the less violent episodes, One Piece is being mangled, ripped to shreds!)

Ok, I have to check somethings, but hai, Kitty-kun, I didn't think that I heard Faust VIII either. But I think I may know why. They seemed to be putting quotes from past eppis, and when we first met Faust, he had a different voice. LOL at 4KIDS potato chips. And the X-LAWS being filled with jelly. XD Is 4KIDS getting a bit silence happy? In last weeks epp, the silence was terrific, but now... Since they did so good with that one, perhaps they are using it more, but it kinda takes away the drama of the silence by having it too often. They seemed to have it a few times in this epp. Oh, and a little comment. Why is it that someone can be named Denbat (hehee, I love that name) and yet they change Manta (to Morty)? May say more but not right now. When I think of something...

X3; I think it's closer to what US comic book companies used to do. Requiring colored speech balloons and a set number of panels on every page so it appeared one was getting their money's worth, rather than something with variations in pacing to heighten the drama. The Freaky Drugged World was one of the better examples though because it wasn't "Hi, I'm Morty and I'm just going to talk so you don't get a sense of unease as I approach a graveyard where a strange boy is hanging out."
