Episode 58: Flaming Angel

I'm confused... Seriously. I'm not being my normal sarcastic self with the following question ^^; .

What's wrong with saying, "What the deuce?" Isn't that just another way of saying "what the hell?" Or am I missing something.
As a side note, I haven't seen the dub of this episode either. So that could possibly be another reason for my confusion.

Oh yes, and for those who have mentioned that it seems this episode is rushed. Your're right. The last episodes ARE rushed. The show was told to finish in Japan, so basically the last episodes are rushed to finish things off.

Me, personally, I dig the fast pace. However, the rushed last episodes of the anime are often complained about in Shaman King fan community. Well, before the rushed manga ending came out *laughs*.

I talked to s-chan while watching Shaman King this morning. So I may have not noticed stuff.

- Jun doing random cute pose! ::squeal:: But I didn't hear what she said. Someone quote her for me?
- Ren's hair got bigger for a second.
- Dub Faust: "He's crazier than me."
Furu and s-chan: "XDDD!!"
- For one minute, Dub Horo's voice didn't annoy me. But then it did. Waah. I want Ueda Yuuji-ness back. T^T
- I will shoot myself if dub Horo says "dude" one more time.
- Spirit of Fire turned to a pretty blue and was shiney. Then crushed my dreams by turning red. (The color red on TV and computer screens hurts my eyes.)
- Nooo! I wanna see Lyserg get slapped.
- Opacho-sheep scared the crap out of me.
- Dub Mari: "Just finish me now..."
Dub Yoh: "Nah. I like ya. =D"
Furu and s-chan: "xDDD" (Why we found that funny, I don't know. ._.)

- Dub Meene is just PMSing. Yep, yep.

'What the deuce?' literally means 'What the devil?'. Just an intensive. Nothing wrong with saying it.

I guess it could be seen as one of those European stereotypes? I wouldn't know.

I just read local listings again, and next week july 30, shaman king wont be on along with other shows in the southern california area due to baseball and it seems like they arent gonna replay it the next day early in the morning.

i liked this episode, but i got very sad when hao's group assulted yoh's group because ashil was'nt there...and for some reason i blame bill and luckist for his death. and so today, i randomly gave luckist the finger.

chocolove flashing his belly button frigtened me more than mama oversoul. i accually thought the mama oversoul was cute!

and these last few episodes has made me become a hao fan ^^;

Yes, I thought of Harry Potter when they mentioned the forbidden forest, too. (copyright violations?) Is that what they call it in the original anime?
When Yoh was talking to Len, and he told him to make his oversoul even smaller, I thougt- 'Yoh! Ren/Len uses a long weapon (not counting the sword of thunduh) and smaller than it is, and he won't be used to it, and it will be harder for him to use!'
I thought about that oxygen thing, too. Then, when Meene went into the Oxygen-Deprovation Prism, I thought, 'wait! Meene! You're letting air in! Zeek will be able to use his firey power again!!!' she ignored me, though...

Was anyone elses' TV having trouble? There was a storm in my area yesterday, so I think something might have happened to the Fox station. For a while, the picture and sound kept on going in and out. Pretty much the entire beginning of the show was chopped for me. I remember seeing those kids, the ice dudes, and part of Milly.
Who DID Zink <(PH34R) sound like? I heard him, and it was so familiar... I guess I'll rewatch it...
W00T!!! There was Faust VIII!!! Was Eliza's needle edited when she stabbed the Panda-man in the neck? I haven't seen the original, so I don't know what it looked like.
Return of the Faust music!!! It was played in the first dub-episodes that he was in (with his old voice actor). In today's eppisode, it was played for about a second when you first see Mari. (it is simple, chimey music. I like it a lot ^-^)
Some moments were made not-as-good by talking. One was a Lyserg moment (whooboy, that sounds like I'm talking about a drug ride...), when Chloe got all her new giant powers, and... I guess the other was... Mari?
I could say more, but my notes are away from me now, and I'm getting off the computer now, anyway.
Either way, I liked this dub eppisode!

Actually, you're quite wrong. It's been mentioned before that Stewie, from Family Guy says it quite often, it really means, "What the two?"

Hmm, really? I don't watch Family Guy, so I wouldn't know...... I always carried it with the whole 'What the Devil?' thing. I mean, deuce does mean 'devil' as well as 'two', so I did think there were two ways of saying it. Well, learn something new everyday, I guess X3.
