Ok, well the end ofthe series is drawing near, and we are getting ever so close to this one scene. I warn you, if you don't wanna know a very important and slightly disturbing detail, please leave, for I cannot figure out how to work the spoiler font and you WILL hear of this part. Now let's give them a minute to get out

How is 4Kids gonna handle this situation? I mean, it doesn't go against most of there rules, but it is a little disturbing for the kiddies (even I was scared a bit when I first saw it). It is an important piece of the show, but when has THAT stopped 4Kids? I don't truly (sp?) know how they will handle it, but I DO know I would understand if they didn't show it. So, what do you all think?
Oh, and can someone bring an animated gif of the scene I may use as an avatar? I would be very gratefull if you could.

Frankly, I think almost everyone on this board knows about the soul-eating scene. Aside from the fact that it would make no damn sense to cut it, I think in the Jetix thread, no one said it was removed from the dub. EDIT: And if you are going to make an avatar request, try going to the actual thread for it. |

You know i think it will be fine. It's not that disturbing really, it sounds more um gruesome than it really is. *shrug* There are plenty of other things i'm worried about being cut >><<>>

THey showed the scene MULTIPLE times in the "Sneak Peak of season 2" trailor they played. That trailor has been on the 4kids site itself and even on the uncut Shaman King Disks....
Oh, and you did the spoiler tags just fine. It isn't hard 0_o ...

Wow, if I knew that they already have shown the scene in a preview, I wouldn't have made this thread.
Well, I got into Shaman King late, (like near the middle of season 2) because I didn't know much about it and I knew they didn't show reruns (my cousin watches it and told me tat some time ago) so all I have to know about the show is what I read (mostly from this site ^-^) and what I see on the show. So when I found out about the soul eating thing, I was shocked and looked ALL over the internet for it.
Yeah I went a little overboard on the disturbing thing. It was to get the people who didn't know out.
Soooooo, yeah I was a little newbish making this thread, eh?

I saw it on a preview when they were advertizing the second season. I was shocked by it because I've never seen the originals. Please don't shoot... *runs away with a shield made from left-over soda cans screaming all the way*
*peeks around a far corner of the room* They can't cut it because everyone's seen it from the preview; the viewers will be looking for it. And besides, wouldn't that screw up the rest of the story if they did?

I've heard that previews for both Digimon and One Piece's dubs have included cut scenes before... Can't say myself, having quickly switched to raws for Digimon and only seen OP in subs.

Bah, if it was already in the preview, it's more than likely gonna be kept in. I mean, the worse they could do is say something else or something, maybe Hao didn't take Yoh's 'soul' exactly, or something. Really, i wouldn't worry too much.

Oh I would be so angry if they did something like that. It wouldn't make any sense anyway. They have aired that preview so many times it won't be a shock if they decide not to edit the scene out.

Dunno if the ep's aired in the US already now, but 4Kids don't cut it.
They do mention cheeseburgers within a minute of it happening though <__<

Well, I NEVER have seen the Japanese episodes, (I am despretly looking, though...) I found out because I heard of it on the internet (Iforget where....  ) and I know what it looks like because I saw a clip on Shaman MTV (I don't have a link...). So, you're not the only one who hasen't seen the episodes. |

You're right, it was still in when Jetix showed this episode. It was quite shocking; not surprising it was shown after the 9 o'clock watershed.
