The last fight was editted a bit which made it seem go a bit faster than in the original. In the final scene where Hao and Amidarmaru exchange blows, there is a 'black screen' after Amidarmaru's swing, which is used as a momentary pause after the attack. There is one more 'black screen' right before Hao is shown cut in half. Those were gone from the 4kids version, and it may not be much, but it made the the scene more dramatic. Jeanne's last scene was cut, but I don't think it was because of Marco's outfit, but because the scene was like 1 second long and it didn't fit into Manta's banter about everyone looking up in the sky and seeing the comet. Also, if you're still craving for more Shaman King, go check out the manga if you haven't already as the story goes in a different direction the TV does half way thru. One last thing:  I always thought this was funny, the camera cuts to show Anna's ass and then cuts to Ren and Yoh staring at it. |

I was wondering why they were looking like that...
I hated this episode simply because it was the last. I just hate to see it go. Don't have anything to say specifically about it *dodges a brick* but I am so glad I have been exposed to Mankin. My life shall be forever changed. (Wow, that sounded corny)

There was one thing in this dub that offended me especially, and that was that they categorized women as "housewives" ie. the magazine in the window was origionally a sign that said there was rice or something on sale. The dub sign said something to the effect of "Good Housewives". I found it to be a particulary offensive generalization, that women are meant to cook and clean for the men, even though I'm a guy. I now think Al Kahn and the rest of 4kids are sexist.

Yes. VIDEO GAMES. Somehow, I can see Len doing fairly well... and Ren kind of being awful... "How to become a more sensitive individual" = XDDD XD; I guess but..i just cant see Ren/Len playing video games. XDD Yes. Yes they do. Because. Thats what it does. The Power of Friendship makes you blow up :D ..You know, they made it seem so much like there was gonna be more i just bet kids are all "OMG THERES MORE!!!1112" and Al Kahn is sitting there counting his money thinking, "Hehe....no. No more~ Stupid American children." o_o; |

i miss shaman king spanish version T____________________T but, they not show that last part of shaman king, they cut it out when yoh was walking with amidamaru -in the spanish version.....

- Cats don't speak to Chocolove in the dub Heh, to be fair, that moment DID come out of nowhere originally. I had a friend once who was really disturbed by it *laughs*. Me? I forgot about it until she brought it up ^^;. |

Sad to see it end.
Particularly seeing as how it was one of the best dub 4Kids has delivered in years (Pokemon aside).
But hey, now that the show's over...
Maybe they'll start releasing uncut DVDs and I can experience the fun all over again!...
...or not.

Heh, strangely, I have seen this before, but I always thought that Ren had an amazed look because Anna is actually cooking a delicious meal instead of making Yoh, Manta, or Ryu cook, and that Yoh had a happy look because he did not have to make dinner. Hmm, no amount of suffering that Ren endured for the Taos would compare to how badly Anna would bitchslap him around. *looks at the clock* Nine more hours until the dub finale..... |

Heh heh, I just came back from watching the last episode of the dub, even though I missed the first few minutes or so ^^;. *cough* forgot it was on... Anyhoo, in much the same way that the begining of the dub over-emphasised "THE TOURNAMENT", the ending to the dub did basically the same thing *laughs*. I can see now why some of the dubs watchers were convinced that there was more. Anyhoo, it wasn't bad, but it kind of lacked that extra happy oomph that the original epilouge had. Still, it was cute and I enjoyed it well enough  . And yes, Rio's singing was ODDLY good this time around. And he even mentioned a line from the original song ("blue sky".) EDIT: Oh yeah, it occured to me while watching the last few episodes that they would be perfect for a "thumbnail" theater. Just Lyserg getting a ride in the Lilly5 van could have a fun spin to it ;D. |

Anyways, nice episode, though the original seems like it would have had more emotion to it. Meh, interesting fight, though it was kinda disappointing that it ended so quickly, and it is wonderful to know that cutting someone in half results into an explosion.... *proceeds to test that concept on kittens and puppies* To say this next thought, I need to put this a bit bluntly: Lyserg done be a pimping little Brit, getting a ride with five girls, one of which likes him and is actually around his height and age..... Was it just me, or did it sound like Ryu said "Life's a bitch" rather than "Life's a beach" during his scene at the park? I am surprised 4Kids did not change this scene:  IT'S A CULTURAL FACT!!!!! OTHER COUNTRIES DRIVE ON THE LEFT SIDE!!!!!! Seriously, I thought 4Kids would have reversed that scene, so as not to confuse the cultural-deprived children on why everyone is driving on the wrong side of the road (at least from the North American view). Ah Horo the mechanical genius. Never mind that the needle is at E, there must be a problem with the engine, not the fuel tank...... Heh, awkward Ren is so funny, as well as a motherly Bason (which is funny as he used to be a blood-thirsty calvary general for the Tao family). Too bad some of the epilogue scenes were cut, though the one with the naked Tamao might have been understandable..... Tamashii Kasanete=sucky way to end the series compared to the original No more episodes, but who knows. Maybe a miracle will happen and Mankin DVDs will come pouring out...... |
