Oh, phew, I thought you were going to ask about the name puns...THAT thread already exists. But this kind doesn't...I think...o_0, anyhoo~ the names:
(last name goes first!, and I'll put the dub names on those changed, oh, and I'll only mention those who have already been in the dub)
Asakura Yoh Kyouyama Anna (You can spell her last name without the "u" as well) Oyamada Manta (Morty) Asakura Hao (Zeke >_O) Faust VIII (I remember seeing his last name somewhere...dang...>_< ) Tao Ren (Len) Horo Horo (it's apparently the same, but dub Horo asks to be called 'Tray Racer') Bokuto no Ryu, or just Ryu, he does have a full name, I just can't remember it @_@ (Rio) Tamamura Tamao (Tamera *?*; Tammy) Lily5--> Sharona, Elly, Milly, Lily, Sally Lyserg Diethel (it's pronounced differently in the dub) Ashil (Bassil) Opacho
(can't think of any more people...now for spirits)
Amidamaru Bason Kororo (Cory) Tokagero Conchi and Ponchi Spirit of Fire (does he--err...'it' count?) Morphine (Clohe * I spelled that wrong, I know! correct me on the name spelling!*)
(can't think of any more...)
The X-Laws names haven't been said in the dub yet, but their names are:
(Iron Maiden) Jeanne Marco Meene Porf (XD) Denbat Venstar Cebin
I think that's it...or at least all I remember...erm..enjoy? ^^;;

VIZ expresses the names in Western order (Given name, Family name) in the manga, except for Ren and Jun as they are Chinese.

Faust VIII (I remember seeing his last name somewhere...dang...>_< ) I thought his first name was "Johann" and his last name was "Faust" (I saw it on another thread)... but maybe I'm wrong.

Anyways, this is how VIZ romanizes the names - I will put a circumflex rendering of the name after the VIZ name
Humans *Yoh Asakura (Asakura Yô) - The German manga renders his given name "Yo" *Manta Oyamada (Oyamada Manta) *Anna Kyôyama (Kyôyama Anna) - Her name has also been rendered "Kyohyama" on Japanese toys *"Wooden Sword" Ryu (Bokutô no Ryû), full name Ryunosuke Umemiya (Umemiya Ryûnosuke) *Tao Ren *Tao Jun *Tamao Tamamura (Tamamura Tamao) *Horohoro *Silva *Chrom *Goldva *Lip *Rap *Kalim *Yohmei Asakura (Asakura Yômei) *Keiko Asakura (Asakura Keiko) *Mikihisa Asakura (Asakura Mikihisa) *Mansumi Oyamada (Oyamada Mansumi, not in anime) *Keiko Oyamada (Oyamada Keiko, not in anime) *Mannoko Oyamada (Oyamada Mannoko, not in anime)
Spirits *Amidamaru *Togakero (Togakerô) *Kororo *Conchi *Eliza *Ponchi *Bason *Lee Bailong *Silva's familiars

It should be mentioned that "Yoh" and "Ren" are the official Japanese romanizations for those two names. Seriously, it's on the merchandise ^^; (for example, last years Japanese callendar).

I don't recall where exactly I heard this (I know it was in school but...) but I remember that there are certain rules for writing Japanese names in English.
For SOME reason, when writing Japanese names in English you are supposed to write it in the Western order (even though the Japanese don't SAY it or write it that way when using Kana.) For Chinese you are supposed to write it the way they say it with the family name first and the given name second.
I'm not sure why this is though.
Anyhoo, long story short, if romanized CHANCES are that it would be written with the given name first and the family name last. However, on my Calander only thier given names are written out anyways sooo....

There is no rule over how to write Japanese in Roman characters. The convention so far is to have modern-day people write their name (Given name, family name) while historical figures are mentioned in reverse order. Japan is more westernized than China and Japan has more contact and trade links with the West than China. I REALLY hope this isn't off topic...as i was reading this thread it came to mind so i thought i'd ask it in here since it is called 'Names'. ^^; My friend told me that Horohoro's name isn't one name, his last name is Horo and so is his first. Can someone tell me if that's true or not?

Horo Horo is sort of like his alias...or something...his real name is (last name first) Usui Horokeu.

I don't remember HoroHoro ever mentioning his real name in the anime though. Does he say it at some point in the manga, or was it just some SK trivia you picked up somewhere (like a Takei interview)?
