I just found out in the dubbed Naruto naruto will have a luffy-like voice. T_T this is a sad time indeed.

"OMG!!!!111 The Naruto dub iz gonna suck SOOOO much. I hate english dubz. They ALWAYS try to yuse ENGLISH words!! Everyone knows that the english language is inferior.
God, I can't believe dubbers try to ruin ALL anime.
I mean, the other day, I saw a dub translate something to "damn" when in the fansubs it said "GodDamnMutherFU*****" . The fansubs are always right. I mean, I don't know any Japanese, but if it's free it must be true."

this is all true not some rumor off some forums, while watching CN there was a 5 minute preview of all the new cartoons they are gonna show and there was a preview of naruto with it and he will have a luffy vioce.

Well, I know that its NOT gonna be the same VA as Luffy for the currently running One Piece (of sh*t)

Speaking of which, who exactly is gonna be the voice of Naruto? I've heard early rumors that it was gonna be Johnny Yong Bosch (Vash from Trigun), then saw somewhere later that it was gonna be Ian Hawk (the young Sanosuke from Kenshin, as well as Tsukasa from .hack//SIGN) and I myself had placed a bet on Richard Cox (Inuyasha).

So does anyone know for sure?

I dunno which WOULD be worse, Naruto with the voice of a twenty-sumpthin year old (vash) or the voice of a half-deflated balloon animal (Luffy)

This is a California dub, so it won't be Mr. Cox.

I too heard the rumor that Sidall/ Hawk would be playing Naruto's voice.
I at first thought her voice might make Naru sound a little young, but if she used her "Jr' tone it could work. She's an amazing actress.
If I heard the clip I could be certain (since I'm a fan, I can always pick out her voice.)

Anyhoo, I love the California studio's so I'm pretty sure this will end up ok.
I personally don't believe that you can judge a show by a few short clips in a commercial.

(As a side note, Luffy's english va had the POTENTIAL to be good. She was just the victim of bad direction and writing.
Remember, Japanese Luffy's VA had an incredibly unique voice herself.)

I think he(?) is talking about the "new stuff" preview that they've been airing lately. The long one (which I just saw) has a second or two of dialogue from Naruto. He sounded fine to me...

Personally, Japanese-Naruto has, in my opinion, an incredibly unique voice as well. I would provide a clip, but I don't know where to find one. ;;

His voice, I haven't heard it anywhere else, and he has that speech thing, "dattebayo", ah, and his seiyuu is Takeuchi Junko.

Sasuke-Mark Hildreth ( Herro Yui from Gundam Wing, also the lead singer of the Mark Hildreth Band.),
Gaara-Eric Stuart ( Yu Gi Oh Seto Kaiba & Brock From Pokemon).Remember these are not confirmed.

ugh! >< People, Rachel Lillis is a AWESOME VA! I bet most of you have not heard her Utena. >> Yes, she is annoying as Misty and Pirika, but she's a great VA. She could probably do a good Sakura.

I am going to watch the dub. 4kids aren't doing it, so it should be fine to me. The voices, i couldn't care less about till i hear them. I seriously doubt Naruto's voice will be Luffy's, or at least, as horrible as Luffy's. If it for some strange reason is, then i dont know. I'll probably spork myself in the ear.

The dub is coming next month, right? So have any VAs even been confirmed?

Well, Steve Blum confirmed a few months ago that he was Kakashi. Other than that, it's just ANN's cast list that I go off of. We'll find out for sure which people voiced who after the first episode hopefully.

I personally LIKE Rachel Lilis' voice as Pilika. I think it is incredibly fitting for her character.
However, she will not be voicing a part in the Naruto dub because she is currently living in NEW YORK. The Naruto dub is being done in California.

Eric Stuart is also a New York actor.

I think the current ANN list is acurate. A lot of the VA list hasn't been released yet.
But yes, Steve Blum is a DEFFINATE for Kakashi.
