My comments on it:
-Ugh, music replacement. BAD 4KIDS!
-Oh sure, get our hopes up with that OP you showed a while ago, then change it to this rap OP.
-I still don't like Luffy's voice.
-Navy? Why change it from the Marines to the Navy? It's still military...
-The whole "work for your dreams" thing sounded like a parental approval message more than anything else. If that WAS in the original, you'd think they could dub it so that it sounded less fakey.

ive never seen the original....but you can obviously tell the music was changed....and the voices sounded weird to me....and is luffys name really pronouned 'loo-fy'?? ...and one last thing.....that opening was scary....the rapping was unnecesary....

I watched One Piece Saturday afternoon because I had to work, so LC was nice enough to tape it and Shaman King for me.

I've never seen the original and it looked like a fun anime. But then I watched it. The rap was horrible. The voices were blah and nothing special, they were kind of annoying at best. And I could tell where they were adding in voices where there shouldn't have been any dialogue ("your stepping on my foot"...her mouth wasn't even moving). I hate it when they force dialogue when they really don't need to.

Overall, I found the show very slow and boring. I couldn't get into it. I was about halfway through the show and I was hoping it was over with so I could go do something else. But it wasn't over, it went on for longer. In all honesty I don't think I'll be watching it again.

One Piece is probably the most accurate 4kids dub out there right now, surprisingly.

The rap will take some getting used to, but what I don't understand is, why did they change the opening theme is they've already dubbed 'We Are!'? It was there when I watched the trailer, why can't it be in the actual opening?

just wondering...cuz zolo, at times, sounds like zelgadis from slayers, which mr. freeman voices.

well...i could care less for usoop (even thou his jap va is one of my faves) but i kinda can't wait to hear his english voice.
and i doubt they'll change sanji cuz thats easy enough to say.
