Have you seen Yu-Gi-Oh? He voices dub Rishid there.
He also voices Sunshine on Ultimate Muscle.

I am definetly a one piece fan, however I have my problems with it.
1. L-oo-fie? What the heck kind of name is that for the future king of pirates?
2. The opening song: I like the chanting thing they do with the ayo ayo ayo. I don't care for the rap too much. Dub animes themes always take time to get used to. Except for Pokemon. I love every theme they come up with. There newest theme rocks.
3. Luffys voice is a bit too high and raspy for my tastes as well.
4. The pink hair looks all wrong on that wimp who wanted to join the navy. I forget his name but I hope he dies. *kidding
There are some things I do like though. I think Zolo is gonna seriously rock. I want to see those three katanas in action. Give that f*ggy son of the navy leader a piece of Zolo.
I want to see more of Nami. I know i know I will soon enough.

just wondering...cuz zolo, at times, sounds like zelgadis from slayers, which mr. freeman voices. *bad flashbacks of Slayers dub of doom* o.o *cough* Anyway, I shall now add my thoughts on the One Piece dub. =D;; First of all, Luffy's dub voice is just....aiie! It's so flat and lifeless compared to the original. @_@; And Zoro sounds cool. xD I'm glad he got a good dub voice. And it's the return of the Amy Rose/Shizuka VA in the form of the little girl! Wah! They use her in everything! O.o And they most likely stick her in Mew Mew Power/Tokyo Mew Mew. Argh. @_@ I also heard that Buggy the Clown didn't have circus music in the original. It was actually kind of funny in the dub; it was all menacing music and then....semi-frightening circus stuff. O.o It was like some kind of irony...or sarcasm...or something. >_>;; Speaking of Sanji, I had a weird dream the other night that they gave him a French accent for the dub. O.o <---- Likes Sanji ever since she saw him breakdance in the opening. xD Or...kick pirates. Whatever you prefer. |

There goes Sanji. -_-;;" I think Luffy was hanging out in the backround or something. Okay. Somebody get back on topic. ^^; |

You really haven't heard much of Lisa Ortiz's parts in other anime series, have you? I personally think she's very talented and I'm glad she got a part in One Piece. Wait....wait....Lisa Ortiz? You mean dub Lina Inverse? That's her? *goes to listen to sound files* .....O.o Okay. I am creeped out. |

I'm actually getting burned out on Lisa Ortiz...I think she's being overused. She has a very distinct voice.
It was like back in the early 80s when everyone sounded like Susan Blu because it was Susan Blu...
4Kids uses too narrow a selection of voice actors...but that's a rant for a different thread...
I was wondering about the funny gun, Boro Boro...given the show, I thought it was supposed to be there...but then in the far away shot of the characters it was a gun and I was like, "was that edited?"

Yes, it's her. xD Is it really that hard to believe? ^^; Yeah, it just doesn't sound like her, but then again, I only know her as dub Lina Inverse, so...o.o; It's weird knowing she plays people like Shizuka and Amy Rose. Because, you know, Lina is....not very girly...I just didn't recognise her. xD; But it's kind of getting freaky, it's like Lisa Ortiz is everywhere in the 4Kids shows. It's scary. I swear she'll get a part in Tokyo Mew Mew, and when it happens I'll be ready....yesss...I'll be ready.... >_> <_< |

Overall, I don't think the dub for One Piece is so bad that I can't stand it. Its the fact that 4kids makes so many stupid edits that irks me.
I don't mind the voices too much... I think it would be very hard for them to get a voice for Luffy thats as good as Mayumi Tanaka. I like Zoro's voice. Nami's is ok. (Whats with the part with her saying "Looks like Alivida's the 2nd greatest female pirate!" or something along those lines. O.o) I don't mind Coby's either. I also agree though that Lisa Ortiz is being overused. I hope they don't ruin the rest of the cast. ;_; I love Chopper; he's so cute! And Ace is cool. xP
The music being changed really sucks... I... just can't stand the dub theme song. O.O But like some of you, I like the chanting part. xD I have my problems with how Luffy's name is spelled. They need an accent on the u. When I was first reading on One Piece, I thought it was said "Luh-fee". And actually, I love his name. xD Monkey D. Luffy! Fits him perfectly. xD
