The original anime was less bloody than the manga, and the dub was less bloody than the original anime. No wonder Shanks had soo little blood left! Anyway, keeping in the arm loss almost cancels out the hamemr gun edit form last week.

I too was amazed by what they left in this episode. 4Kids seems to be pushing the envelope little by little. The one guy getting shot blew me away, and then Shanks losing his arm was also very shocking to me.

I liked the part when Zolo beat up those pirates and made them row the boat after Luffy.

Those editors sure have their hands full with all the edits to the alcohol in this show.

in the background there was a buggy crew member playing that game where you spred your fingers out on a table and use a sharp implement and stab ine spaced between your fingers. hmmm, someone made an oopsie.
or maybe they couldn't edit it out and prayed that the kids didn't see it.

they also cut out the sword that went thru zolo after buggy stabbed him.
anyways does anyone know when sanji and usoop come in? i have a feeling nami joins in the next episode, so the rest can't be to far behind.

I really hate the (c)rap theme song, but other than that, it's OK. Never seen the original, though, so I can only compare it to the manga...^_^

I haven't even read the manga, but the theme song is growing on me. I've even caught myself humming it a little.

The theme is growing on me aswell I am afraid...

Last weeks episode showed me how horrible the dubbing truely is though. Buggy spent about 12 seconds explaining that the drink was a special kind of punch, I am curious what he was saying in the original. Also, there were at least one occurance I saw of Beer changing into Punch. This is lazy editing, and makes me feel the series was really rushed. It is a shame however it was not rushed enough, as originally, it had an english version of the japanese theme song, and the original score aswell. Not much, but, still....

I dont care which version of the anime it is <never seen japanese version> i cant stand the part where they say about how gold roger attained it all...it gets annoying after the first 5 episodes!!!
