I am already starting to get into the rap opening for one piece. I usually do not like any openings that use rap or some other hip hop beat. But they all eventually get to me. I still like Shaman Kings theme.
I do agree with Lovely. I can't stand openings that repeat the name over and over again.
CARDCAPTORS!.......CARDCAPTORS!!! About every few seconds. The song would still be terrible without the constant title repitition.

and yes i agree, when they repeat the name of the series over and over it's like
"....I GET IT!!!!" it's not like we don't know what we're watching....unless we flip thru and find it in the middle of the theme and we DON'T know what it is.

and i think of one piece as the anime that shows it's emotions. i dunno, their expressions seem to come out more vividly than in most animes.

SPOILERS OF TODAY'S EP!
shanks.....was irish. i kinda liked it, but then again i didn't. and today i thought they broke the mold cuz one of shank's crew members shot a guy. but then shanks goes off and says
"tell him when we wakes up that it was a cap gun."
i taped the ep today, so if there is anything else i wanna bring up, i will.

Not only was the scene actually cool and dramatic, they actually SHOW SHANKS LOSING HIS ARM after the sea monster chomped it off.  They baby all the guns, but they'll show THAT! On SATURDAY MORNING CARTOONS! Him sitting there with that chewed-up stump where his arm used to be! My God, 4Kids actually does something cool! Okay, I think I'm alright now. |
