I'll agree with you on that one. The only thing that
I was referring to on the quality of the Shaman King
dvds was the subtitles. I got really tired of getting close
captions every few seconds.
"what was that!? *pants softly*", or "hahaha!*chuckles
lightly*".
the rest of the release was just fine. Too bad it's not
like the 2nd Ghost in the Shell movie, where they
re-released it after getting complains about the close
captioning.

Yeah, and they tend to be way off too, which is what makes them so annoying. >< Since it follows the dubtitles, which don't match with some of the Japanese audio. Back on topic now though...I want One Piece Uncut DVDs....T__T *kicks BitTorrent* |

Don Krieg's voice is decent. We get to hear Mihawk next week (I hope...I thought there wasn't supposed to be an episode today). I noticed that they changed Mihawk's sword. It looked too much like a cross. I don't know why they have such a big problem with crosses.
I was wondering, because I missed the first 10 minutes,
did they completely cut out the part where Nami pushes Johnny and Yosaku off the boat? I only saw where they were swimming towards the boat crying about how she left with the treasure, and they showed a little still flashback. But I don't know if that's all they showed, or if the whole scene was there except with the "getting undressed" part censored.

They took out the scene where Nami leaves?  That is a very important scene that leads into the Arlong arc later! That aside, how the heck are they going to do Arlong's story arc, cut the whole thing down to five episodes? With the edits they are doing, there is no way they can show an arc where the theme and whole focus is about death and the will to survive. The will destroy my second favorite story in the show, and the one that made Nami my favorite character at that.  Kanashii, Kanashii sugi(sad, too sad). |

I don't know if they cut out the whole scene of Nami leaving, but I think someone said that they did...But they did establish that Nami left with the ship via Johnny and Yosaku. For those that haven't seen it uncut, what happens is Nami tells Johnny and Yosaku that she wants to change clothes, and askes them to turn around. Then she pushes them overboard and takes off with the Going Merry. (I refuse to call it "S.S. Merry Go"  ) They never actually show Nami taking off her shirt, but Johnny and Yosaku say something like "ooh, she's so free spirited, it won't hurt if we just take a peak, etc..." Later on in the series there are some episodes of nekkid pirates, though. ;D Nami actually does a full frontal flash for the entire crew in one episode, but with her back towards the "camera" (sorry,you pervies). |

"S.S. Merry Go" ) They call it the "Merry Go" (without the S.S.) in the manga, and the Japanese name is "Going Merry Go". "Going Merry" is a fan name. |

You are partially, but not entirely correct. The Japanese name for the ship is "Going Merry". the "Go" part is a Japanese marker that designates a title of something (similar to "the" but more specialized). It's not part of the actual name. So "Going Merry" is correct, it is not a "fan name".
