If I am wrong, sorry then, but I just saw this:
I was watching the WB cartoons, and they ran an ad for Yu-Gi-Oh. The new name of the dub, I think, is "Yu-Gi-Oh: Grand Championship", and they said it was the final season, which means they may cut the Egyptian arc out of the dub. Can anyone else confirm this, because cutting the last arc would not be a good idea, especially if they are ending this at the KC Grand Prix arc.

Oh I didn't see that commercial. I hope it's not true because that would make me extremely angry. I know 4kids has been loosing money and some have lost interest in Yugioh, but don't skip the last season, cut out Grand Prix maybe. No one wants to watch that season anyway...

Cutting the Egyptian arc? I never thought 4kids could even do that. Then again, there's still the Millenium World manga.

Meh, like I said, I might be mistaken. Maybe in this season, they might rush and do both arcs, but seeing as the dub title is "Grand Championship", it kind of implies that the Egyptian arc will be cut. Hopefully it will not be, because the Egyptian/Memory World arc is supposed to tie up the series.

While it's nowhere near as violent as the manga version, the Memory arc could be pretty hard for the dubbers to edit. There's not much in it for kids. I think 4kids don't reckon it's worth dubbing it (if they aren't). Little kids watch Yu-Gi-Oh for the duels. The memory arc has only three. Most of it is Yuugi and the seven priests (nearly all of whom die) fighting Bakura.
They might go straight to the final duel between Yuugi and the Pharoah straight after the KCGP ends. They could invent some crappy excuse:
Yuugi: Hey Pharoah, we're suddenly in Egypt! Lets Duel! Pharoah: Good idea!
The memory arc is all about finding the Pharoah's name, a fact which the dub haven't mentioned yet.

Hmm, after actually taking the time to look at the Yugioh episode list, it might be possible that the Egyptian arc will air (the logic to this thought being that the Doma arc was about forty episodes, and both the KC Grand Prix and Egyptian arc together is forty episodes). And Ryu, if they do dub it, it might still work, because the dub kind of talks about the Nameless Pharaoh retrieving his memories back, so the issue of his real name, *which is Atemu, by the way, if someone did not know that, though considering that mainly Yugioh fans that know the details of the anime are probably concerned with this, maybe it was already known, then,* can still come up, then.
On a side note, I am a bit confused, but is the term for the place they go into called Memory World, Millennium World, or Egyptian World?

Hey. I didn't say which of the nearly all of them don't die. Surprisingly, more people die in the animé than the manga. Maybe I should just shut up ;D
Useless: Shonen jump calls the saga Millenium World, but in both SJ and the original they call it something like 'the world of the pharoah's memory'.

I just hope this is a mistake. The whole point in the series is finding out about Yami's past and his place in Egypt. If something has to be cut, we can do without Grand Prix. *I want to see Atemu and his priests! Don't keep me from it!*

Another possibility is that 4kids will try to make a different show out of the Egypt arc. And by that, I mean to pass it off as another series. If the Egypt arc IS for sure cut though, then 4kids truly ARE the f**ktards of the anime industry. Oh well, they'll be dead soon....

I heard that they are going to condense the Egypt arc into two episodes at the end of the KC Grand Prix arc. I may be wrong here, so don't take me as a credible source. I got my info from: 4kids.tv/forum/showthread.php?t=59631 The official Yu-Gi-Oh forum. I find it odd that they don't use their ass-ugly colors for this forum, yet they do for all of the others...

I would have thought that they might just add the Ceremonial Duel to the end of the KCGP. As long as the dub puts no more emphesis on the Pharoah's memories they could probably somehow skip the whole Pharoah's memory arc.
