By the way, I saw my first Water 7 episode this morning, my friend gave me the download. I'm really interested in Water 7 now, I just wish I wasn't so behind in the manga.

Water 7 is really interesting. Which episode did you see? I really recommend getting through at least Skypiea (a lot to ask, I know, lol) first, there are some direct links to things that happen there, though they seem small. Someone else started subbing the Davy Back Fight.

Well, the Japanese Pikachu IS the same person in the English dub. They didn't need to get a new actress just to say "Pika! Pikachu!"

Heh, I go by the Shonen Jump manga, and they're ALMOST halfway through the Arlong arc! Its still nice to read a non-bastardized version of the story though ^ _ ^

For some extremely odd reason, they felt the need to re-dub Carue. I think they would've done Pikachu if they would've had more money at the time, you know, to do stuff like change background music.

Well, personally, Skypiea isn't one of my favorites. Don't get me wrong, it's good, I think it's just a bit too long and drawn out. It's freaking 55 episodes in the anime, or something like that.

So thats Chopper eh? I guess I sorta pictured his voice a little deeper, but I thinks thats only cause I saw the German-dubbed clip first. Now I know what everyone meant when they said that his [German Chopper] voice was out of character. ^ _ ^

EDIT: As long as I have this post, I might as well ask for one more thing, Does anyone happen to know the current ratings for the show on 4krapTV and Toonami?

I really wish I could help you there Tonfa-san, but I am currently unaware of the ratings. But what I do know, is that they are most likely not good. One of my freinds watches "the rap" for pure amusement when it airs on Toonami. So all of the ratings probably come from origional fans who watch the dub for amusement, like me!

I saw the German clips, I thought Chopper sounded odd...he sounded like a 30 year old guy or something. Sanji and Usopp actually sounded good, though.

I heard they're something like 1.2, but I have no idea what that means. The only thing I do know is that the ratings are pretty much tied with TMNT, and the two of them are the highest rated shows on 4Kids TV, but compared to other TV stations it's not too good.

Yes, they have to find someone else, because Ikue Ootoni doesn't speak English. The reason why they could keep her doing Pikachu's voice in the English version is because all Pikachu says is "Pika! Pikachu!" So no English VA is needed.

Referring to the first couple of posts in this thread have any of you tried gendou.com/ for downloading One Piece tracks?
You DO have to sign up but its totally free and personally I find it to be one of the BEST sites there is in regards to convenience since it has most commonly known anime's in its database.
Just search by anime name, I download most of my anime music from this place.

As for the dub, all I can say is Dr. Kureha sounds crossed between Meowth and Starscream from the old Transformers.

Ha ha ha! How many people saw Saturday's One Piece? If you did then you must have caught that bit that they did with the doctor? They changed him into a her... and then had Zoro call him Freaky Frieda.

What's wrong with those guys? Is it so wrong for an old guy to wear purple and a half shirt? I don't know why, but a small part of me was expecting that.

Um, Dr. Kureha IS a her, always has been, with not the slightest bit of confusion in the series about that. XD How could you think she's a he?
