Ha ha ha! How many people saw Saturday's One Piece? If you did then you must have caught that bit that they did with the doctor? They changed him into a her... and then had Zoro call him Freaky Frieda. Um, Dr. Kureha IS a her, always has been, with not the slightest bit of confusion in the series about that. XD How could you think she's a he? I read on a website that Chopper's mentor was a male.

I read on a website that Chopper's mentor was a male. Chopper's first mentor is a guy, *** a fake doctor named Dr. Hilruk. That guy ended up dying in Chopper's flashback, where he blew himself up in front of Wapol for his corruption. Before he did, he asked Kureha, the old woman to take Chopper in and teach him to be a doctor.*** So hope that clears everything up.

..... Use spoiler tags people >_< . Oh, sorry about that Lovely. Strangely, I thought I heard it during the last episode, and I went to Arlong Park later and found confirmation: Kureha's age was changed in the dub. Originally she was around 140 years old, but the dub made her about 100 years old, instead. By the way, * does anyone think 4Kids will edit over the scenes where Kureha chases Sanji and Luffy, and later Chopper, and throws scapels at them? Who knows, maybe there will be a return of the poison suction cups or something.....*

Who knows, maybe there will be a return of the poison suction cups or something.....* Heh, I wouldn't doubt that. But I think that would be the LEAST editing job to worry about. *** Just imagine how they're gonna handle Chopper's past experiences with Dr. Hiluluk (sp?). What with the fact that the doctor has a terminal illness himself, Drinks a soup from a toxic mushroom made by Chopper, and topping it all off with his self-combustion death in Drum Castle. I swear, how much you wanna bet 4Kids makes a crappy doctor-in-the-hospital kind of pun...(God forbid...)***

I don't know about that, it was more humorous than violent. But maybe they might think it's too mean for a parent figure to do a thing like that. But yeah, that's the least of my worries as far as editing concerns go.

I was thinking that the old woman was that Dr. Hilruk person. Thank you so much for clearing that one up.

Ya know, I would guess that if anything, 4kids will just cut out the whole Hiluluk past and say Chopper was always with Kureha.

I have that gut feeling they're going to do that. Either way that flashback is getting f**ked up.

Either that or they'll put the Chopper-meets-Hiluluk segment on a "Hiluluk gone wild, special forgotten episode" kind of thing...

Well, the next 3 episode titles are: 51: The Great Climb 52: Tony Tony Chopper 53: Freaky Aside from the saddness of the episodes being in the 50's when in the Japanese version this arc is in the 80's, I don't know what think of an episode called "Freaky". Is this Chopper's flashback?

Ack!!! *shoots herself for suggesting a possible dub for 4Kids to use* Well, they'll either do that or say that Hiluluk was dragged off and rotted in a prison somewhere (still can't get over the butchered SA2 saga).
