According to an OP entry in Wikipedia: The Rogue Town arc is the sixth and final story arc in the East Blue Saga of the anime and manga, One Piece. The Straw-Hats stop at the island of Rogue Town, the birth and death place of Gol D. Roger to get supplies before heading to The Grand Line. In the Japanese version, the town is called Logue Town, based off the words prologue and epilogue, because the town is also called "the town of the beginning and the end". Meh, I'm slacking off, so might as well do something "productive". Thats actually a clever little name. However, it doesn't work in English due to major pronunciation differences. English words that are puns in Japanese aren't puns in English. |

It would have been nicer to see "Loguetown" in the english version though. |

That's the theory I was reffering to, and although it does sound VERY plausible, It still isn't exactly the hardcore fact, plus information can be edited by anyone on Wikipidea.
Not trying to sound like a wet blanket or anything, but were still not sure if Oda himself honestly used that basis to name 'Loguetown'.

Wouldn't it have been called "Townlogue", then? "logue" is a suffix, not a prefix. Not that grammar (or spelling, for that matter) is usually considered when the Japanese use English, mind you...

It's true that Oda never specifically described what the name of the town means, but when you look at it in context:  It seems like this was in fact his intention, because it looks like it's explaining the name of the town right there. You'd think it would say "The town of rogues" or something. As for why not "Townlogue"...because it's the town of logues, not the logue of town.  |

Um... sorry if I'm wrong, but is this the most recent One Piece thread?
In Shonen Jump, it seems to only be advertising that One Piece is on Cartoon Network. Did it get cut from 4KIDS TV? What's on there now? Winx, then Bratz, then Winx, repeat as needed for four hours?

Yeah, One Piece has been taken off 4KidsTV most likely because the show was getting such bad ratings on that block. Its on Toonami now, but that still dosen't change the fact that the dub still sucks major ass.

...when doing the title, Luffy's voice actor kind of sounded like Stinko Man from Homestarrunner.com. 20X6!

Not a fandub, those were clips from the official Singapore dub, if you were to read my post. Yeah, it was on TV, in SINGAPORE. The dub was NOT done by 4kids, and was done VERY low budget (as you can probably see), and yet they managed to get alot of the stuff 4kids cut out (like original BGM? Proves that 4kids is bullshitting when they say they can't get the rights to it).

Yeah it's pretty obvious (to me at least) that they could have the score without paying some huge penalty. They just like to create their own score.
I'm not a fan of the Singapore dub any more than the 4kids one though.
The 4kids one is just stupider. Is that a word?
I've been watching the clips from the UK broadcast on Youtube. At least some of the editing has been a little better as of late.
