Episode 21- ZEKE???!!!

Alrighty, that was a lovely episode except for a couple of things: first off, ZEKE?? What the hell??? ZEKE. UGH. I suppose that means theyre going to cut the "HAO" logo out of Hao's lego gloves Man, i love the lego gloves. GEEZ. They could have at least called him Rauul. Arrr. Second, ZenRyo wasn't all that great. I got a kick out of the voices,though. Eheheh Ted Lewis and hm I dunno his name, but he plays Tristan in the Yugioh dub. That was kinda scary >< I'll get back to you on my good comments

SEemed decent, but...were they THAT much like steriotypical garage band peeps in the original? Because I kind of doubt that...and I don't really like dub Haos' voice much. No real reason for it :P (that WAS dub Hao's voice in the scene w/ the spirit of fire in it, right?) And I'm getting a bad habit of missing half the episode >_<

EDIT:Zeke? My brain must be ignoring stuff it doesn't want to hear, because I didn't notice that they renamed Hao "Zeke". What kind of a name is that?! Better than "Harry", I guess..

OMG I can't beleive that they made Hao's name Zeke. I meen that is no where close to Hao. The voice wasn't that bad I have herd worce but I don't think it works well for him.
But I meen it wasn't the worsed episode I have seen
but what was with the "rock and rollers" they scared me and I did notice Tristen's voice but yugi was harder to point out (both from Yu-Gi-Oh)
But the worse thing was definetly Hao's name how can they do that to him I meen Zeke AHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Sure, the whole 'Zeke' incident is unforgivable and they absolutely ruined Zenryo and their music (and, from what little I heard of at least one of their voices, they might ruin Hanagumi as well), but here's what really irked me.....

The scene of Ryu winning his last fight in the first round...I love that scene. The neon lights and the background scenery are awesome. But, when 4Kids got their hands on it......they ruin the scenery by painting over most of the lights!!!!

EHHH!!! They painted over pretty neon lights?! How terrible. Was the chef guy Ryu was fighting holding chickens??? HAHAHA.
But I have to disagree, KYOFanatic, Hao's voice DID fit him. Humph. I mean, IIII liked it anyway. Yeah, the Hanagumi that was talking...uuugh. I looove the Hanagumi!!! T_T

To be honest, I think Hao's dub voice fits. He's Yoh, but eviler and sexier. xD He's Yoh's evil twin after all.

Just finished reading the comparison and "eating" the bandwidth.

You're right...the original songs are alot better...I don't think the original voices match that style though...the voices are too clean and soft for hard rock.

You know, the last time I heard the name Zeke used in a show was the truck driver on the Darkwing Duck episode with the Vampire Potatoes...thought I'd share that completely goofy reference. ^_^ #nosmileys

Meh. I believe in "The orginal is better than the copy." In this case "The original is better than the dub."

When I first saw Hao pop up with that rather suitable voice [it was exactly as I had hoped it would turn out to be!!], I was screaming in sheer happiness.

I rewound the video tape and watched it with the captions on... and I screamed in HORROR!!

Outside, the birds flew away, chirping about a crazy young girl that lived in the house next to their bush. o.0
*randomly imagines Mikihisa with his mask, sitting on an electrical wire with other birds, saying "Chirpchirp!" unenthusiastically* (points to self and says: I have a strange fondness of Asakura Mikihisa *smile*)

... Anyway, back to what I was saying...

The name 'Zeke' really doesn't fit Hao. All my other friends (who actually sit and listen to my rants) agreed completely. And then I proceeded to stomp on the field and scream Hao. Promptly after that, someone called me a psycho.

The least they coulda done is kept his name as Hao and just say it was a nickname for Howard or something like that.... That's what my friend and I were at least hoping for....

It seems there has been another good name changed to a stupid one. Is it me or did they change Asakura Hao's name to Asakura Zeke!? AHHH! ZEKE!?

I need to watch this ep again, but what is with U ppl!? His
name is hao, Im assuming that rymes with yoh(I only seen
the dub,ok) Therefor his name sounds like HOE! Thier cant
be a name like that on US tv! Geez,parents be upset
