but in some way that could be affending to egyptions when they called cards egyption gods when they dont know for shure if they are gods and they should have asked egyptions first before using thier culture

dub epi 33 thoughts: Thought 1-- Holy mother, Marco's english voice is HOT. *cough* sorry, I was just surprised ^^;;;... Thought 2-- There's just something missing when the x-laws creepy as heck theme music doesn't play when they appear ^o^ . Actually some people think the theme is funny (I suppose because of how its just SO dramatic), so I guess it's subjective ^^;. The words are in english, but I can't understand them. I had the lyrics once, and they were creepy as heck, but I can't find the lyrics now v_v . Ah... more thoughts? I think it still seems like Ashil erm... Basil likes Zeke. A lot of the diolouge is the same actually, it's not like the original was all that blatent about Ashil's loyalty/love. |

i saw a spoiler clip wayy back when...
of this esp.
i thought (if you are talking about the person who i think you are) basil was a GIRL. mainly the hair....
sorry.

ah, after reviewing the epsiode a FIFTH time, i have come to the conclusion: your right, Marco's dub voice DOES sound like the dude who does seto kaiba and brock.*cant remember name* THUS: lovely, you have a right to think his voice is hot. that guy does the the voice of some very shmexy bishounen.
and i was wrong: he says "sorry...master" while falling. oops.
regarding YUGIOH dub: *ACK COUGH HACK* *chokes dies and comes back to life* THEY MURDERED THE WHOLE SERIES!!! they made seto an arrogant asshole...more so than he should be...
*NOTE* those eygypitong gods were completely fake. the only tie they had to real gods was 'winged dragon of RA'--but they could be offending egyptions in general just by making such a sucky show about it. -_-; (more so dub than original. thansk for listening to my rant!)

i dont find their music creepy...i find it annoying...i mean, at first its cool but then its like.....god why wont it stop?! >< the guy who does brock and kaiba is Eric Stuart, Marcos voice sounded like kaiba..only deeper...and not all "im a bad guy, rar" o_0....it was more relaxed...hmm...seeing they handled Marcos voice good, i wonder what Jeannes voice will be like...  i...want...to...see...next...episode....>< hao...he...looks awsome when---god i cant say it...man...i have a feeling the next episodes gonna be messed up a bit.... |

Comparison 33 is up. Now I have to get ready for work, blech >_< . Ah, next episode is the obligatory Hot Springs episode XD . Some of the humor of the next episode involved steorotypes that the U.S have about Japan, while the show was being steorotypical about the U.S XD (I believe this was intentional.) Example? The title is "America Onsen" ("hot springs") . It also has a good amount of funny moments in general. AND a subtle reference to Ren's obsession with three that can't be cut ^_^ . The next episode can seem a bit like filler, but in fact, a lot of important things happen. None of which I'll mention until the offical thread comes up later this week ^_~ . Tell me how you guys like the X-laws theme ^_^ ! -Lovely

a violin theme would of went well with that x law theme... or anything but just take out the stupid crazy men and women who think they can sing/hum OUT.
that part was the only thing annoying, otherwise that theme would of fit well.
they made the x laws look "holy" anyhow...
the 2 extremes...
btw. yes, i was surprised there was "a hole in basil".
but they obviously ignored the verbal referance lovely spoke about.

The whole point of the theme is to sound like a twisted church choir arangement. Very nice and fitting. Shame it got cut. One question is there a longer version? Don't know. That's the only version I have of it. |

Ahh yes! The great Eric Stuart lends his talents to Shaman King. He has some big voice roles with Seto Kaiba which I think is his best role. I like how arrogant Kaiba is. Brock from Pokemon. It took me a while to realize this as Brock is so different from Kaiba, and now I knew that voice as soon as I heard Marco speak.
The first thing I said was, " That's Kaiba!"
I saw a clip before the episode when I was watching one piece and saw the football shaman and I was praying: Please no totally lame football references.
So what do I get: "It's fourth and long and it's time to punt!" AAAAAAAARRRRRGGGHHH!
I'm a fan of football but I can't stand cartoons that use lingo horribly. A couple episodes of pokemon let just about every baseball phrase rip and I was nearly in tears by the time it was over. I never knew TV could actually cause physical pain, but I nearly thre up after I started hearing that football player let those football phrases rip.
Poor Ashil, I can't stand animes eliminating great characters so quickly. It's really just not right. Ashil, could have been a great character if they would have just drew him out more. He could have been sent by Hao to take some flunkies and terrorize Yoh. He could have been behind the scenes scheming with Hao to take the Shaman's down.
oh, well. Hot springs next week. Can't wait for that. A referance to 3 that can't be cut? Don't underestimate those retards at 4kids I'm sure they'll find a way.
Great comparison Lovely. This episode was amazing!!
Oh and Koh. Yoh does bleed at the end of His and Ren's first battle. The one Ren wins. His last blow gets Yoh in the shoulder and the siver blood appears. I guess you could say it's part of his shirt getting ripped, but you see his shirt is in one piece in the next episode.

Yes, I knew it was blood! Thanks for backing me up Horo! But, yeah, I completely agree with keeping Ashil in the series. The loyalty to Hao would've been great AND since Ashil began to respect Yoh at the end and Yoh and Hao looks so much alike..... I think that would have made for some funny episodes! ;D

I'm so glad the series is finally getting serious. the fillers were funny, but after the Trey episode I had enough.
Ashil was a fascinating character who had so much potential. They could have kept his love for Hao at bay and still made him a great character to keep in the series. I do agree with Lovely's comment about how if Ashil was not quite as competent he would probably not have met the fate he did.
He was too big a threat too quickily. There was no way to keep him on the show if he was driven mad in one episode. his hunger for Yoh's death was so sudden. It could have been drawn out.
