Epi 33: Ashil and PLOT! (spoilers)

PLOT. HOLY MOTHER, SWEET WONDERFUL PLOT!
This episode marks the darker turn of things, and some main plot points of the series finally begins. This episode is not only interesting in its
own right, but it also starts up so many delicious plot threads. Weeeeeee~ !
First off. Ashil. I think he's cool, he just has the most wonderfully smarmy facial expressions ^_^ . And his end is rather tragic "Hao-sama..."
*sniff*
This episode also marks the X-laws first apperance. I loved the ironic line "We didn't kill him, we EXECUTED him." hee hee, so misguided.
Um Hao's back story is revealed a bit too.
Aaaaaah, so much fun stuff ^_____^ ....
No CLUE how the dub is gonna handle this. Ashil is shot in the heart (no blood though), the sealed room is filled with pentegrams, the X-laws and their "executed"
line. Ashil's devotion/love to Hao. Well, I guess I know how the dub will handle it. It will be changed I'm sure v_v *sigh*.

i dont know if this is a spoiler or not but im putting it in color just in case ><!

the thing about this spoiler is...i was wondering if 4kids will change it...because you know they already revealed thats yoh and hao are brothers in the sneak preview...so what if they just reveal it here instead of what ashil reveals?

oh and Lovely, i agree the (highlight,>spoiler) "We didn't kill him, we EXECUTED him" line makes me laugh too XD

Actually, unless they cut it in the dub, the X-Laws already showed up... the first episode with Zenryo had them in it... they weren't named, but you could see them watching.

****They didn't really do anything there though. This is the first episode where they make an effect and have speaking roles. So that's what I meant by "first apperance". My definition is off a bit though ^^; ****

Oh wow, that was an amazing episode in my opinion. I love the head of the X-Laws voice, and, even though I read the spoilers, it was still shocking when bassil was killed. It was like I was waiting for it, I could hear my heart beat, waiting for the enevitable.

I love the look Lyserg gave the X-laws, and the whole imagry with the angel looking thing, very religious-ish, although I am sure it would have been deeper in the original version.

I take it those stars used to be the pentagrams, I guess that is a crative way around it.

I still love the X-law guy's voice, wow, it was so, angelic, almost, so good it was creepy.

I think Bassil's love for Hao was dumbed down to being insanely loyal, but I think it was portrayed none the less.

I really dont like Bassil's mech thing though, the big mirror was sorta... I dont know, dumb, I would have made it round or something....

The football players were fairly wierd I must say...

Once the mentioned the whole re-incarnation thing, I was really hoping they were going to mention Hao, like, mabey that Hao Asakura was the original name, but, the latest incarnation was named Zeke, or something like that... I guess there is always the DVD, like, what they did with Manta/Len.

Ok enough rambling, but seriously, this has been one of my favourite episodes, even though I still dont like Bassil's mech/earth spirit.... bah.

what a crule fate my bassil met...luckily my tape didn't run out. now i can keep bassil close to my heart...
*takes the tape and hugs it*

all of bassil's face experessions made me shiver! i was like "oooo....snarky" or "ooooo bishounen"
i have mixed feelings about the X-laws thou...they did kill my bassil, but i like any thing thats angelic....

I see they changed aroung the dioluouge with the X-laws some from what Lovely said. The thing is now you have to read between the lines to understand why Yoh is so very angry at them.
I did get a strange idea in my head from the X-laws saying that Zeke is the source of all evil.

Ren: Oh come now, he can't be the source of all evil. What about seriel killers?
Rio:Or Nazi Germany?
Horo Horo: Or bad 4kids name changes?

Also did they change Luchest's name? It sounded like they called him Lukav in the dub.

That's all I have to say for this eppy.It..It..It was amazing!
The X-laws enterence was so cool and angelic,you almost forget that that they killed Ashil.But that's I can say about this expect that we're at the turining point of the series.

Oh!I almost forgot..THEY'RE GOING TO SHOW AMERICAN HOT SPRINGS!! KYAA!!THAT'S GOING TO BE WAY TO FUNNY!! ;D
I can't wait for it !!

Ashil should be cosplayed more often, I want to glomp him. He was so devoted to Hao, and oh so pretty. Let us all mourn him, and smite our younger siblings when they add "Wot wot" after everything he says because of a character in Redwall who had the same name as his dubbed self. His death was not unmoving, and shall be remembered. [/pathetic attempt at a eulogy]

It surprised me that they didn't blur out the hole in his chest. And the X-Laws finally appeared! And Marco didn't sound like a stereotype! Yay! (I was worried that they would give him an "Italian accent".) While not quite as dramatic as all the hype would have it, I have a feeling the plot will pick up now...I don't know as I haven't seen the anime all the way through: I'm a manga fan with good access to spoilers.

i was thinking of cosplaying as ashil some time or another...but my partner hasn't seen shaman king so he can't be hao...oh well, i'll force it on him, he has the hair ;D

and iam such a sad person...im making a video dedicated to ashil that has my drawings...but there's gonna be a twist to it. you all will have to wait and see what it is.

and i really liked ashil's spirit, it was kinda like a golem almost cuz it could re-generate from the ground and such.
even thou ashil was a minor chara, i'll still love him...
