What you guys have been saying...I'm scared... Macchi, a valleygirl? o_0?! Dear God....Ok, um...if the dub calls this episode "Goth Assault" then why are they valleygirls?? That makes no sense...

A rattle?! How the hell do you get a rattle from a gun? How does he even use it?! Does he throw little...rattle thingys?! o_0?! Well, it seems 4kids is going to have trouble with ep. 41~ ** Chuck turns into a big bazooka...gun..thing...o_0 What are they gonna do? Turn him into a giant rattle?!**

At least I hear Anna's slap is kept....Although...I want to see what their dialouge is going to be....T_T Do they still call it the legendary left? Ah! >< Hurry up and be 1:30!! Must...watch...episode...>_O

I was proud of 4kids with the way they were handling SK....I have a feeling this episode is going to take away that respect....T_T

Confronted by a homicidal maniac some poor sould will try to shoot them with a rattle. And as a rattle is not a weapon the homicidal maniac will kill them.

I didn't see the first 5 minutes because I was downstairs blasting Linkin Park and wasn't looking at the time ^^;
I caught the Eliza and Faust scene. I was like "DUDE! That as Eliza and Faust" and then they vanished.
I almost cried when Ren got stabbified by the jack-o-lantern. I no longer like Jck-O-Lanterns...*goes out and smashes some*

I found this episode bad. First off, the Hanagumi's name was never mentioned. Macchi has been changed to "Matti" but the truth, it's the same, sort of like the "l" and "r".

Kanna's name was pronounced how I thought it would: "Conna". At least she's not a cow girl. @_@ And her voice was fine for me. Ashcroft's name was kept. whoo~

Also, Kanna's pocky, or cigarette, whatever the hell it is, was cut out, so was her tatoo if I recall, I didn't pay attention. @_@ Oh, and her shirt...well...above her shirt was altered. Before her shirt revealed more, if you know what I mean.

Now, Macchi and Mari....I hated their voices! >< Macchi sounds all scratchy and girlish. Mari...just sounds bad! And yes, her talking in third person was taken away. >_O Jack the Pumpkin has been changed to Jack 'O Lantern. o_0 Great, now the word pumpkin is offensive... And Chuck has been changed to...Baby Chuck...

Well, that explains the rattle. Now, the rattle just looked weird. It had a bow and everything. o_0 Looked like some kind of weird candy cane to me. Now, this just makes me laugh. A rattle....that shoots bullets....-__- That outta be put out on the market.

In one point in the episode, there was talk about playing Trick or Treat. And Mari mentioned bowling. o_0...

Like RyuLover mentioned, they mentioned going to the mall and buying blue shoes...o_0 I agree completely with her, where the hell are they going to find a mall in the middle of the desert?! >_O

At the end, when Anna comes with Zenki and Gouki, the dub still refers them as "Zeke's Shikigami" @_@. And apparently, Anna likes being "fashionably late" o_0

This is a mistake they made in the dub, XD When Kanna was telling Mari and Macchi is was time to go, she looks to the left, says "Mari" then to the right and says "Macchi, let's go." Now the dub, did it the other way around, which means, dub Kanna called Mari, Matti, and Matti, Mari. A mistake for them. Why'd I mention it? I honestly don't know, I don't even know how I noticed it. XD

Now, let's move on with----the Anna/Hao scene! *-*

First off, I would like to comment. Dub Anna=B*tch.

They make it seem as if Zeke wants to take the THE BOOK. (I'm too lazy to write it's real name..T_T) And they cut such a cool line! ><

Anna: *is suddenly right in front of Hao*
Manta: Anna-san, when did you get over there so fast?!

Apparently, Zeke doesn't think Yoh's weak, instead, he wants Anna to marry him...o_0....

Zeke: If you want to become Shaman Queen, you could just marry...me...
Anna: Yeah right! You freak!

Anna's line just seemed out of place...I liked Hao's original line better...T_T

The kept "Legendary Left" though. GLEE! XD

Zeke's voice is starting to get annoying in my opinion...he sounds too.....seductive..... Even when he was talking to Manta! It just sounded wrong! ><

In the van, Anna and Sharona got into a fight about who was going to be Shaman Queen...o_0...ok...And Sharona seems to obsess about it later...

The name the Lilly5 gives Yoh and the others at first was actually kinda funny....What I don't understand is why they couldn't call them the Yo Yo's at first...

In the last scene, Lyserg says "Iron Maiden" Well, at least that'll be kept, now we just have to wait for Jeanne's name...

Finally, I decided to make a little "Stupid Quotes" section. XD Because well, this episode was full of 'em. Not all are stupid...just....awkward...o_0 My own comments are in green.

...................................................Okay, well after I got over the stun of the epiosde I decided I hated it. Kanna and Machi's voices weren't that bad, I actually rather liked Kanna's voice, but what I could NOT stand what Marri's voice!!!!! What the Heck did they do to her!!!!?!!!!! It's like 4kids took out her brain and gave her the brain of a lilly5!! They made her into a preppy barbie doll!!! She's goth for crying out loud, and they also took out her 3rd person speach which kinda ticked me off, but not as much as her voice. URG!!!!!!!!

*stops to breath and try to calm down* Okay, okay, you get my point. They also changed Marri's spirit's gun into a......rattle?? That was kinda weird if you ask me, it doesn't even fit his outfit or anything like that.

The Zeke and Anna scene was just about as good or as bad as what I thought it would be. In the original Hao/Zeke doesn't actually tell Anna that she should marry him, he just says she is worthy of being the Shaman Queen, which could have a number of meanings. Anna wasn't quite as much of a snotty nosed brat as she usually is in the dub, but she was still pretty bad. She kept her cool alot better in the original.

Anyways, one line I actually did find funny was when Marri said, "hey, don't dis Malibu Barbie" that was funny, but it really didn't fit for her. XD

I was glad that they kept the Legendary left, that is one of the highlights of this episode, and they did take out kanna's ciagaret/pocky thingy which was no big surprise. And also in the original, Hao never tells the Hanagumi to kill off Yoh's friends, he just tells them to test Yoh and the gang.

But just the same, I'm gonna be mad at 4kids for years to come at what they did to Marri, her totally calm and always depressed sounding voice was the best!! And they took it away from me!!!!

*get's pitch forks, torches, machine guns, and rifles all at once to go shoot, burn, and stab 4kids*

I think I was begining to like the episode right until Mari goes "Hey, don't diss Malibu Barbie".

Me: *flicks back to watch the last few minutes of Man Utd. v Crystal Palace and lets the other VCR tape the episode...*

I was amazed that they left in the scene where Ren gets "Stabbed/Slashed" and let the splutter of blood show how it usually is in the original. ;

I think though, a Shaman getting owned by a baby and his rattle is more humiliating than just getting owned by a puppet and his gun. But that's just me. Someone mentioned that in a later ep the gun becomes a bazooka...I think there will be more laughter than concern if it becomes the "Rattle of Mass Destruction".

I was curious, and Lovely perhaps you could take note of this for your next comparison, when was this episode originally aired in Japan?

This all has to do with the scene where Chocolove gets on a soccer jersey and has the S. Korean and Japanese flags painted on his cheeks,(and a soccerball on his nose...Soccer fans take cover! *takes cover*) and is waving the English and Russian flags and is in front of one of the stadiums from the 2002 FIFA World Cup of Soccer which was co-hosted by Japan AND S Korea. (I do recall that at some point, some Japanese fangirls were waving English, Italian and Turkish flags other teams because of thier hot players rather than skill I found XD;. (I.e. Del Piero from Italy, Beckham from England etc..IMO, Gigi Buffon is hotter than Del Piero but that's just me! *cowers*) and in the Group Stages, Japan played against Russia ) So, random "Hey, don't forget to watch the FIFA World Cup 2002 later tonight!" shameless plug?

Random Fact: England has made it to most, if not all, the World Cups and only won the tournament once, back in 1966 when they hosted it.

Russia, and the former states of the fmr. Soviet Union have all tried to make comebacks and have all failed as they were/have all been eliminated in some fasion in the Group Stages or after in the Round of 16. (Notice how in all the sports where the fmr. Soviet Union once dominated they, the new states ie. Russia, Croatia etc, all have gone down )
