Yay! *Spirit of the Ren is in full-fangirl mode, watch out!* Team the Ren in their first match! Even though Chocolove and Horo don't really fight... Destroy! Destroy, destroy, destroy... A dancer in the Nutcracker! WTF? Wiggly Ryu-hair action! It reminded me of Mushin's sig: Watch it wiggle, watch it jiggle, it's the one and only JELLO! Squeaky british voices, and crumpits and tea... *dies* Oh, and as a member of The Ryuuro no RenHoro-tachi, that there was slight RenHoro hintings in this episode, especially when he collapsed and- Horo: Ren! Ren is the new and rightful King of England! Sword of Thunder, WTF?! Horaiken is better all the way.
Special message to s91: You know you like Ren...Come to the dark side...We have cookies... And once you're a Ren fan, RenHoro fandom is only a step away!

Wow, 4Kids TV was having problems today. Everything on that channel was skipping around and freezing for a few seconds and it was just weird. Was it just my TVs(I tried it on two different ones), or did other people have this problem? I gave up on watching anything on that channel(including Shaman King) because of the issues they were having. All I managed to see(er, hear) was the horrid British voices of Ren's familiy. Of course, none of them are as bad as the voice of a certain chef on a certain other dub anime...

Well.. now that I think of it... they MIGHT keep the text on Yoh's outfit and it isn't really laziness. I would just think it would be HARD to always erase the text on it. Whenver Yoh is wearing it, he is in a LOT of scenes and he moves around a lot as well. It just may be too big of a task to erase it. Well... this is all just speculation on my part. Who knows, maybe the editors are getting bored with the lack of signs the've had to pain over recently and will welcome this new challenge ^^; . Tsukigumi...Then...Moon Group? Since Hanagumi is Flower group...then again..I'm no expert in this Yep, you're right. Hao suporters tend to like "pretty" names I've noticed ^^; . (as you know, Hao is "Hoshigumi" AKA Star Group.)

Bason looked SO much like a Gundam type fighting mecha this episode (even down to the way he attacked sometime) that I can't help to think that it was an intentional reference...

bason's arms were all flamey looking too. i think we should call that version of bason, burning bason gundam.

Ren: Go Burning Bason Gundam! Attack! Burning Bason Gundam: Hai, Bochamma. (yes, young master)
LOL! I don't think it was intentional though...

I didn't like this episode because Ren doesn't attack much, and when he does, he uses Gundam Bason I want fights like the ones in season 1, not Spirit Gundam fights! But sorry for complaining.

before-hand i would just like to say that i have never seen the original episodes of any of the SK shows...don't kill me!
The accents were kind of like a poor British-attempt (so sad) they got really annoying really fast. I was looking forward to the line about Gei Yin not having a boyfriend...but it was replaced by dancing
"She wanted to dance in the TEXT !" I never knew that the nutcracker was a very famous ballet...in China (it might be, I don't really know)
Oh wait nevermind, 4kids doesn't want anyone to know where this takes place and where the main characters come from comes from.

In season 1, they used oversouls, but they were small, so you still got cool fights. Then episode 41 came. Will we ever get a fight like Season 1 again? Only time will tell.

Ugh... this episode was kind of weak and dull originally, the dub just magnified that. I felt very sleepy watching this eppy *yawn...* Bascially, the whole "betrayal" plot concerning Ren, that he betrayed the family by basically abandoning it, is dropped. The MAIN problem with this is that the impact of the only dramatic scene in this episode is greatly lessened. That "drama" scene being when Ren swears upon his FAMILY on the Houraiken (the family sword.) Finally, the dub laughter at the end was just too over the top corny . Meh, everything else has been mentioned *shrugs*.

It was quite a dramatic change in fighting styles, im not sure if they ever go back to smaller scale battles. Episode 52 might interest you but its not quite the same. Anna makes it very clear in the next Ep that she registered the teams name and went for 'Team Askura'. (its been mentioned earlier in the thread so I dont think this counts as a spoiler?)

I have something to say...
In the dub, Ginny calls En "uncle", which is kind of weird--because En is Len's uncle in the dub, so why would she call her own father "uncle", unless the dub decided to change it to follow the original all of the sudden.

Those british accents got on my nerves rather quickly...
Um, this was an okay ep. I guess I was expecting more character-development on Ren's part.
Wiggly pompador (sp?) was cool.
Also, I was really surprised that they kept the scraches and tiny blood spurts on Ren. Oh, he did look adorable when he passed out. ^_^
