This episode made me like and respect Ren a lot more. (Mind you, I still really liked him before).
"She wanted to be a ballerina!" XD
Gah! Too many kigh-pitched British accents! XP
The way his voice slurred before he fainted was funny!
Don't you all stone me at once (take turns if you must), but I don't really like eppies focusing on just one character. Unless it's Hao or Yoh. I just think the ones with the massive fights are usually cooler/funnier.

I rather liked this episode...from the point of view of someone who can't manage to get her hands on the original...
-Very Ren-centric, which is good because Ren is awesome.
-Cool fighting scene
-Funny moments (ren collapsing at the end)
So...complaints?
The accents were getting on my nerves. Every time I saw the promo while watching Winx and "Ginny" said 'you're no longer fit to lead this family' I'd start my fake accent and go 'He is too little miss 'I'm-not-really-English!' because that voice...*twitches* soooo grating!
It was nice that Ren's shirt ripped...but all my hoping it would all go was in vain *sighs* Such is the life of an unfulfilled fangirl.
Not enough Hao, and none of his pants. Sorry, but I just love those pants.
and I think that's all for now. I was watching the promo for next week...oh Ra Ryu is a slightly tamer version of Miroku! OI SAVE US! *dies*

I wonder if Gei Yin appears in the manga. nope, they... never existed in the manga ^^; Uhhh what I mean is that they never show up at the begening, "ginny" (hate the name) never apears... (maybe later on... ? I doubt it, I'm pretty sure that they don't exist in the manga ) I... like... british... accents... How could they have such annoying voices... ... how is it even possible... but I have seen worse... (*cough love-cook cough*) Ginny: Oh MY!!! He has telescoped the sacred thunder sword out of... itself!! HE IS THE CHOSEN ONE!! *bows* Lenny: Yes! Tis I, the true king, and now my invincible attack, GUNDAM BASON!!! I really noticed the meccha (is that the right word?) uhh the robot like legs of yet another giant oversoul... Am I the only one that doesn't like these? Team Len... I loved "The Ren" Team Asakura... give me a break... fumbary onsen sounds soo good... and it has the whole... Anna thing... *sigh* too much destroy... Final note: this whole horrible episode was... worth it just to see KAWAI REN when he passes out... ^-^

I was watching the promo for next week...oh Ra Ryu is a slightly tamer version of Miroku! OI SAVE US! *dies* You think Ryu is a slightlly tamer than Miroku?Hahhaahah!!
I don't think Ryu is anywhere close to Miroku because Ryu doesn't do pervented things like Miroku.^^;
And I saw the promo, and Ryu looked so cute!^.^ Any man that can show his emotions is a great man! Especially if they're cute like him.Also this his eppy this Saturnday and I said I was going to be in full fan-girl mode didn't I?
Oh and those dub brit voices did get annoying really fast but Ren's is okay.^>^

First I absoltuely DIED when I heard Kalim of all people plug for the patch cafe. If you go to the RP forum and look under my "Come to the show" thread you see I typed that Kalim plugged for the Patch Cafe!! I have not seen this episode ahead of time either. I am officially creeped out.
Ryu's promo for next week was hilarious!! My wife likes Ryu too. I loved Rule 2: Be Macho! Ryu: (sobbing) XD the little heart shaped Ryu with heart eyes was too funny!! I can't wait for next week.
Ryu: You must remember to include your minions in your plans!! XD
Ryu had too many great lines in this episode!!
It was Morty thatmentioned the "lost art of falling asleep in public" I thought it was funy!!

Ryu: You must remember to include your minions in your plans!! XD Ryu had too many great lines in this episode!! One of my fave lines ;D Somehow its just so appropraite that when talking to Len he'd substitute 'Minions' in for 'Team mates' Despite the next Ep being a Rio one I think Tokagero steals the best line, you'll probably see it coming but its still funny ;D

Things that I liked about that episode: -Ryu's/ or Rio's (in this case) wiggly hair! -The animation (was it just me? or did the characters look pretty and.. a tad more expensive in this episode?) -Oddly enough, I couldn't help but laugh at the whole "NUTCRACK-AH!" thing..^^; (although I don't see why they changed the original gag?) -------- Oh yes...In my area 'The Smurfs' came on right after Shaman King... ;;

-The animation (was it just me? or did the characters look pretty and.. a tad more expensive in this episode?) Huh. I thought the animation looked rather cheap this episode. I didn't like how the characters were drawn this time to be honest ^^;. Different tastes I suppose...

Regarding Ginny called Tao En her uncle, it's most likely that in the Dub En has no children of his own, only many nieces and nephews - so that would mean Ginny & her two younger siblings are the children of a man and woman we've never met.
Apparantly (according to the dub at least) there is another 'faction' of the Tao family that has sort of seceded itself from the main family. Is this true in the original as well? How many more relatives do Ren & Jun have? I always thought they're numbers were small - to emphasize their drive to survive (survival instinct is stronger when it is threatened).
Anyhow, I won't make any more comparisons, because I haven't seen the original. I will sit back patiently and wait for Lovely to enlighten me (and others) like she does every week! ^_^
(Thanks for this, btw, Lovely! Don't know where I'd be without you!)

As far as I understand, En has more kids than just Ren and Jun.

I don't know... I was always under the impression that En only fathered Ren and Jun... Well, who knows... "family" doesn't even have to literally mean "family" with these sorts of of orginisations. Think, mafia ^_~ . Anyhoo, the original never stated just HOW Gei Yin was related to Ren. So, that always left me to assume that she was somewhat distantly related. It really is a very "who knows" sort of thing. Anyhoo, Comparison 46
