Epi 50: Team the Ren episode and THE SONG OF EVIL!

Thats what I thought when I first saw it. I got odd Saiyuki flashbacks. :::laughs:: It seems like every team has some sort of reference to something else.

I was actually kinda suprised that they kept Nichrom's name. I thought they were going to change it for some reason.

Another thing I was suprised about was Horo saying "I hate you" to Yoh. That dosen't seem like a very 4-Kids thing to say.

Over all, this is probably one of my favorite SK episodes, so I'm infinitely glad they didn't mess it up too much.

Ok, I am watching it now, and the changes I see are as follows:

- Scenes up till the first encounter with Ren and Nichrom were moved before the credits.

- Patchdnald was wiped off Silvas shirt.

- They never actually said that Chrom was dead, they merely suggested it by saying, "He was very badly injured and he never recovered, if you know what I mean."

- They left the near mis of Ren's Kwan Dao with Horohoro's crotch.

- They changed the part when they mentioned that there were just two followers instead of three to something else.

- Somehow fear is bad They said "Trey" was jealous of Yoh

- They had Faust announce the whole match instead of just "Team the Ren vs." *cut out* (just doesn't have the whole surprise of when Silva says it)

- They cut out the song of evil (as they do with all BGM)

- Added dialouge when Horohoro is being told to use ice to stop them

- In the dub they actually had Choco try to make up jokes

- They had Anna warn people of a stupid punchline instead of asking what the horns are for

- "The darkness in my heart --> A dancing goat" joke was changed to something really cheezey. And the japanese text was wiped

- The name Patch Zi bek was changed to be a bunch of triangles

- They left the part where Ryu threw Manta out of the chair! ;D

- For some odd reason, this scene kinda makes Ryu look like a child molestor, and they left it. I mean she looks like she's 10! (Note: I like how Horohoro, Pirika, Jun, and Pai Long are staring off into nowhere land)

-I'm not 100%, but I think the text behind Silva was edited.

I dont think it made Ryu look like a child molester! His character has already been established as a bit... uhm, different. Ryu is just.... different... and, has a uhm... interest in young girls... I am sure he just finds them cute... in the baby kangaroo way.... I really doubt he would ever do anything really bad...

So Horo was originally afraid of Yoh? I can see why they changed it to jealousy instead... personally, I can't really see Trey saying that. But Trey was saying stuff about how if Yoh & he fought right now, that Yoh would win, so maybe that could be interpretted as some fear?

Well, as much as I hate to admit it, I will. I never liked Joco, and I still didn't until the end of this episode where he & Mik started dancing and kinda saved his team. It really made him seem more of a team member and stuff. It's weird, I was sitting there, thinking he's all lame and even his 'darkness' is bland-normal-DUH!obvious and just as it looks like he's fallen into the trap, BOOM he's making a scene (a funny, unexpected scene no less!) and basically saving the day. Ha. I loved it.

Also I couldn't help laughing as Rio chunked poor Morty out of the chair... horrible! XD But the preview to next week's episode definitely caught my interest. I hope it's as good as it seems.

- Oh yes, I was enjoying the Ren & Horo stuff in the episode. ^-^; I especially liked when Horo was carrying Ren... I just really like that type of scene. ^-^;;

Yeah, I know. But still, the "Interest in young girls"... and it's also Ryu! And you're probably right about the baby kangaroo thing. But he is giving that poor girl flowers.

Either I'm going crazy or I've heard that song before that that girl was singing in the dub (I forget her name). So I went through some music of mine racking my brain over this and I think I found it; she sounds like the .hack//Sign song Silent Life at the very beginning.

Shamans can touch ghosts because they exist on both planes. not to mention, when you oversoul, the ghost becomes solid by using your furioku...

Well, I was happy with the dub. I was wondering how well they would handle chromes death...
