Actually, a lot of them Janime has permission for. I know her personally from janime community forums.
She has friends in japan who help her with the translations and scans she has on her site.
A lot of the fanart she has there, she has permission to use.
And for the others, there's a message to the staff members in that section:

"Janime emphasizes us to remove all images with unknown authors or unauthorization"

Just thought i'd clear that one up.

A lot of us at Janime are signing a petition to get the names changed. It's not impossible because the site says that the names are still subject to change. *hopes that they undo their evil*

I was into Yuugiou at one point, but it became a bit too childish for me. I lost interest after the manga ended.... The anime dub must be moving pretty fast XD. already at GX, huh?

Actually, the regular series is still going on. The dub is more than three-fourths through, with only the KC Grand Prix and the Egyptian/Memory World arcs left, though the latter might not be shown, unless my wild suspicions are wrong.

Strangely, they are airing GX this fall, though I believe someone on this thread said that GX is not going to air on the WB, but on some cable station (don't have much access to cable, so I am not sure what the appropriate station would be).

Starting this fall? Good, nice to know it's not that far yet. Last dub episode I remember, the whole DOMA thing was going on. I think. I flip by it sometimes on Saturday mornings..

Oh.... no, the entire series, actually.... It just seemed a bit over-marketed for my tastes....D=. I hate card games of almost any sort with a burning passion, and that kind of ruined the appeal for me.

Yeah, the animé did have a tendancy to add in duels for no reason. But the duels are more better in the original. They convey emotion (maybe not the Step Johnny duel). In the dub, they play cards. In the original animé they play cards. And in the manga they play cards.

I stand to watch the dubs because of easy access and I like the show. They do tend to insert extra duels in the anime for no reason. There have been times where I say to myself, "Um, why are they dueling now?" But, it's okay to me.

That's an excellent episode comparison site. I think I've linked to it before but I don't care. The webmaster is redoing all the older comparisons and to anyone who thought the Doma saga was fairly well edited, think again.

Hmm, I found a section in Wikipedia for Yu-Gi-Oh, and they even have a part for the GX series. Sadly, they even have the dub names for Daitokuji and Sameshima.

Daitokuji is now Banner.
Sameshima is now Sheppard.

Why do 4kids have to change yugioh... Their name dubbing makes me so mad every time I hear them! Stuff like Zigfried Lloyd, Marik, and Odeon! But I try to enjoy the show

Eh, I didn't like YGOGX all that much... But it seems weird changing Medici's name, when that is one somewhat familiar to Western audiences. I liked his Japanese-accented Italian.
