I bought the home (US) versions of DDR Extreme 2 and Pump it Up. I've only had the chance to play PiU so far though (and only a bit.) That said. The menu systems (and how you unlock things) are a bit weird in PiU, but I love the song list ever so much ^____^ . Soft pad... It's taking patience for me to get used to. The instrunction manual says to NOT wear socks while you play because you can build up static electricity and mess up the pad. But... My feet sweat too much when I play and stick to the stupid thing. Socks are a necessity for me, soooo... I'll have to risk it.

My dad's thinking of getting it for us (the family) for Christmas this year. ^^
I heard the songs were pretty decent; having Speed Over Beethoven on it makes it worthwhile to have to dance to some of the other songs they shoved on, which, as I've heard are utterly crap.

Heh. Daddy likes playing too, so it's not a huge loss to him.

Okay you guys. I have just purchased the greatest thing that ever existed in the world of DDR.
...okay maybe not. But it's damn close.
DDR: Mario Mix. o__o
It's actually really fun! It's definitely different from your average Mario game, but... it's so cool! You actually get to step on Goombas and stuff. It's really fun *w*
I bought the box set that comes with the soft dance pad... and I'm really impressed with it. Unlike the PS2 soft pad I have, this one doesn't crunch up under my feet at all. It sometimes slides a little, but not so much that you lose your place. *heart*
And last but not least... you get to see Bowser dance. Somuchlove. *flails* XD

Huh, really? I wasn't too interested in getting it...but is it really that good? If so, I might actually humor...someone or another and buy it. ^^;;;

The best part of it is definitely the dance pad. You can play the hardest songs on there, and move really fast without the dance pad scrunching up. :3 It doesn't have any of the original DDR songs, just... different stuff, but I still like it.

Huh. Good dance pads are always helpful. Mine doesn't seem to have that problem, though; I'm not sure if it's the type of pad or what, but I never really had a problem with it.
What kind of songs does it have on it? And is it as good/better than DDR music? Sorry to be asking so many questions, but I do tend to be curious...
