I also think that Suikoden I was the weakest of the four so far. I believe that the reason that most people like it so much still the the nostalgic feeling they get since it was the first in the series. Though, to be fair, it was the first, and the series had not really been established yet, so they had a lot to improve upon still. My favorite though, is still Suikoden II(Waaaii, Waaaiii! Nanami-sama)! Though III did have the largest amount of characters with development, instead of having a forgetable dancer in your fighting party. ;D

Jr- That would be Mina. Her student is in the second game. Mina is also the name of Lotte's cat in the first game.

AH! That name does sound familiar!!
Thanks Dessa. I have so few memories of that game. Probably because my brother just borrowed it for a while so it didn't have much time to stick in my memory.

thats funny, suikoden is based on a chinese legend, but then why is www.suikoden.com in japanese? |

Because the kanji used to spell out the title is pronounced "Suikoden" in Japan, but in China the kanji is read differently.

That, and the fact that that's a JAPANESE site for a JAPANESE game...
What, do you expect Dragonball to be in Chinese just 'cuz it's based off of a Chinese legend?
It's a .com site... .com means "commercial." It has nothing to do with the origin of the inspiration for the purpose of the site.

True. An example in America might be the America propoganda for the movie "Last Samurai". It's based partically off of a real event in Japanese political history, but the movie, website, and all other propoganda is in English. I don't know, maybe not such a good example, but you get the idea. ;D

I read in my GI that they are already recording Jap. Va's for Suikoden V. Makoto Terada reports in his blog that he is currently recording voices for the game. That was fast!! Oh and Dessa:  XD |

(O.k, technically double posting, but it's been a month .) I checked out the book "All Men are Brothers" from my local library today. For those who don't know, "All Men are Brothers" is the novel that translates the book "Shui Hu Chuan", the book that the Suikoden games are (very loosely) based on. The book is HUGE. And hardback ;_; . I mean, it's over a foot tall. I haven't reallys started reading it yet. The library didn't have any smaller versions *weep*. The translatiion is by a "Pearl S. Buck". Honestly, I would of prefered it if my library had This version. It certainly would of been easier to carry! Ah well, I figure that if I like the first few stories in the Buck version, I'll buy the "Shapiro" version later. ---------- As a side note... you still playin' Sui3 game Jr ? |

The book is 5 pounds (I weighed it). I can't even read it in bed comfortably. Its weight crushes me!

Silly Chinese, trying to confuse me with all your Kanji that I can almost understand because the Japanese use it too, but then I realize that their readings are different and I only know the root meaning of the word....sorry, rambling now. Yay Suikoden! (pathetic, I know).
