As for Anna Kyoyama's voice, I imagine hers as being like Mandy's from Grim and Evil, but slightly more feminine and "real"
As for the Horohoro and Rolfe thing, I would have him sound halfway Rolfe-ish and halfway like Yoh. In other words, not as stereotyped and ridiculous as Rolfe is in Ed Edd and Eddy.
As for Ryu, I'd keep the Spanish voice, but make it clear that he is a Japanese guy with a Hispanic-sounding English voice.

I noticed Lovely already pointed it out in her comparison, but I thought it was interesting that Len has a english accent and is from China, while Lyserg, who actually is from England, does not have any accent at all.  |

Yoh's voice is alright, but I really loved Yuuko Satou's version of him.
And Yuuji Ueda... *_* Wee.
I wonder if Pino's voice will have an Irish accent in the dub...?
That'd be just...cool beyond words. I don't know why, though. It just would.

I don't see what the problem is with Yoh's voice. It seems very laid back which his character would lead you to believe he is.
Anna's voice is perfect. The only other VA I could see would be the one who did Rika Nonaka from Digimon Season three.
As for the others, Chloe's squeaks are a little annoying but you don't hear her say very much anyway. I have yet to find a VA that I don't like in THIS series. Trust me, there are other series that seriously need to re-evaluate their VA's because they made some strange choices.
I especially like the cleverness of giving Yoh and Zeke the same VA.

I did not realize that Veronica Taylor does the voice of Tamera.
She definatly has some range to be able to do Ash and his mother in Pokemon.

alright, alright... anyways, i really think that lyserg should've had the brit. accent and not ren...but it's kinda funny knowing than ren is chinese and speaks britishly. and plus, lyserg's voice fits him well. Lens voice isnt even funny. i wanna kill the moron who gave him a british accent. it does suit him... but tell me, ever met a guy from china with a british accent? NO? I DIDNT THINK SO! *stabs voice assigner, and looks at the pic of the VA for horohoro*  ;;; holy shit... UGLY!!! HIDE YOUR EYES!!! |

I wanna kill the baka who made Ren and Jun British too. It's not even a good accent! It's so terribly gawdy! We English don't speak like that! We're laid back in our accent, like Yoh!
Although, 4Kids puts a gawdy British accent in every show. It ruins at least one character per show. There's the mother (I'd put her name, but it edits out the "Y and K") of Sonic X, Kevin Mask of Kinnikuman Nisei, Ren and Jun Tao of Shaman King, Ryou Bakura and Yami no Bakura of Yuugiou, the list goes on.

Still don't have time to make a full list of my opinions on all the voices. But... I will make this SHOCKING revelation....
I really, REALLY hate Mikihisa's voice. I mean, I physically hurt when dub Mikihisa starts talking >_< . The voice is SO inapropriate.

I've only seen the first couple of episodes of Shaman King, so I can't voice my opinion about all the English voice artists in the series, but I will post about which voices I've heard so far. Manta's English voice isn't adorable enough and Yoh doesn't sound relaxed enough to me. While Rio's English voice artist could've been worse, it still would've been better without the Spanish accent, and Len has that whole British accent going on even though he's Chinese. Even without the accent, I still probably wouldn't have liked Len's English voice artist, because he doesn't sound as deep or menacing as his Japanese counterpart. Since Len has so far been my favorite character in Shaman King, I especially hate the voice 4Kids gave him. Probably the only English voices I've liked so far have been Amidamaru's, since it sounds almost like his Japanese seiyuu to me, and Anna's because it actually fits her character.

In the original, he sounded like a laid back adult just a bit muffled because of the mask. (I have always had a suspician that his face is o.k, or just has a little scar and that Mikihisa is just a goofball ^o^ ). For those who don't know, Yoh and his fathers personalities are actually very similar. Mikihisa tends to talk simply most of the time "Yo ^_^ *waves* " . |
