Opinions on the dub voices

my ashil scenes are tingeling and they tell me that chocolove and usop might be the same va. it for think about it, they are just about the same and i can accually see it happening. guess we'll have to wait.

Marco's voice is just strange but it's beginning to grow on me.

Meene's voice is pretty much what I would except. She just seems like a normal young girl.

Kino's voice is awesome. I'm so glad she doesn't have the annoying old woman that 4kids uses for everyone old woman.

The vampire is truly annoying. I hope they finish him off next week.

Alos the priest who is a lackey of the vampire, I found interesting that he sounds a lot like Weevil underwood from Yugioh. I also found it strange that he had what kind of looked like a bug spirit.

A lot of you are complaining that Len who is Chinese has a British accent. But would you rather he had a Chinese Accent?

While I agree Lovely, Len does seem to come off as a snob in just his bodily expressions.

His snobbish personality wouldn't come off nearly as well if he had no accent IMO.

Ren seems like a snob in the original, at first, and he doesn't have a british or Chinese accent, so it's possible.

I know you're all one Ren, but I have to comment on Meene's voice. It's just, in this last episode, her voice sounded so...lifeless...I'm not saying it's bad. It's perfect actually. In my opinion, I think a voice like that would have fitted Anna perfectly.

Meene didn't sound mean enough to me to be Anna. True it had almost no emotion, but it sounded to girly to me. Maybe I'm just too used to Anna's VA.

This weekend we will get to hear Chocolove's dub voice. Anyone already know who it is?

He can have a comical voice that doesn't make my ears bleed.

My first post. *cries tears of joy* Anyway, since this whole section is devoted to the dub voices, I've decided to post my opinions of EACH and EVERY one of them in full, analytical detail and compare them to the originals. Just to annoy you all and waste your time.

Chillax, I'm kidding.

Yoh: I absolutely HATE his voice. Not only is it freakishly obvious that he's voiced by a newbie VA (who mostly sounds like he's just reading his lines off of a sheet of paper), but he's so...masculine. *sweatdrop* Seriously, his Japanese VA is so cute and feminine. I really dislike the older, more masculine voice. And his laugh. It's like, this psychotic snicker. Hee, hee, hee. I HATE how the dub VA for Yoh laughs.

...okay, maybe I am going to ramble a bit. *sweatdrops*

Amidamaru: Not as good as the Japanese, but acceptable. I actually like Sean Schemmel, even if he sounds kinda...Goku-y when doing Amidamaru (you know...the retarded screams and all).

Manta: His Dub VA does a good job at acting (compared to the other SK VAs in the dub), but I don't like the voice on Manta. It's so uncute. And, is it just me, or does it seem like Manta would spaz where "Morty (WHO CAME UP WITH THIS NAME?!)" would be calm, and vice versa.

Jun: If she'd ditch the Brit accent, I'd like her voice. Seriously.

Pairon and Bason I count them as one because I like both their voices. Not as much as the Japanese, but they're cool.

Pirika: I absolutely LOVE her voice. Why? I really don't know. It just suits her. I like Rachel Lillis, too.

Lyserg: Love him too. Very fitting, I thought.

Chocolove: I really don't like his voice. It wasn't what I was expecting at all. His VA does a decent job of pulling it off, but the voice doesn't suit him.

Faust: Um...his VA(s? Did he get a new one?) is/are okay.

Ryu: *bursts into peals of laughter* So...retarded...

Horohoro: Whoever dubs Horo should burn in Hell. His VA is okay, but I hate his lines. Horo doesn't talk in surfer-dude language. And all his cuteness is lost in the idiocy the dub has brought to him. And "Trey Racer" WHY, GOD, WHY?!?!!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?

Hao:[/b[ Actually, I like Hao's dub voice. I don't like that his name is now "Zeke," but the voice is okay.

The Lilly 5 I like their voices. Little annoying, but so are they.

Tamao: Um...well...her VA is okay, but I really dislike Tamao, so I won't say much about her.

Anna: I like it, but it's not as good as Megumi Hayashibara. It might be a bit too feminine, really, but it's not unbearable.

Tokageroh: *sigh* AGAIN with the Spanish accents? Give it a rest, 4kids. >_<

Silva: I like. *sweatdrops*

Ren: I saved this one for last because I need to vent. Grr. I HATE REN'S DUB VOICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HE'S NOT BRITISH, HE'S CHINESE. WHY DID THEY GIVE HIM THAT ACCENT?!?!?!?! *starts screaming and raging*

...let's wait while Len calms herself down...

Anyway, his voice is too high-pitched and feminine. And I swear, the dub thinks Ren's gay. He latches on to Yoh waaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy too much. I like Yoh/Ren, but the level to which 4kids has taken it frightens me. That whole bit about "That Lenny guy wants to take you out".....oi.
Ren also has a horrible writer. First, they loaded him up with retarded Brit puns, then they made him hyper-feminine ("I like roses..." ), and now...he just irritates me. Ren's my favorite character, so it's even worse to see what they did to him. *sobs* WHY?! WHYYYYYYYYY?!??!?!?! *hugs Ren plushie to death*
