Opacho takes pride in being short. When she first sees Manta, she tugged at Hao's poncho/cape/something and looks at him with a face. Hao smiles and says 'Don't worry Opacho, you're shorter than him.' and she smiles.

Mikihisa's spirits are a fox and a tanuki (badger dog). Just like two other spirits... Ponchi and Konchi ^_~ ! (Of course, Mikihisa's spirits are a lot prettier and normal...)

And Opacho's other form is kind of creepy in my opinion... freaked the heck out of me when I first saw it ^^; .

Maybe the dub wanted to assure the kiddies Hao was beatable? ^_^;

O.k, I'm back from watchin' the dub.

First off... next week is the weird episode ;_; . (I have a reason for being "weirded out" by the next episode, but that's off topic so I'll talk about it in another thread.)

O.k, now... this may come as a surprise to many of you, but... I hate dub Mikihisa! Yes, shocking isn't it XD ?

He did deliver one line in character though. That was when he said "hi" after saying he was Yoh's dad. That was cute at least v_v .
Some of his lines were accurate, but pretty much all lines where he's sort of being a goofball were once again made more serious. *sigh*

Moving on...

Keiko didn't speak much at ALL in the original. I think her only line was "Mikihisa". However... she really doesn't get much screen time, so I honestly didn't mind her few extra words.
Yoh's grandad was a bit more appologetic to Miki originally.

I think the scene where baby Hao was "talking" would of been better if they just used the spooky kid voice and not the adult voice as well. Ah well. It should also be mentioned that Hao never mentioned the "rule the world" stuff.

Joko's voice cracking when he's upset is adorable ^.^ .

Lyserg and X-laws dialoug was fine. It's interesting how they alude to God and the like without actually saying it ^^; . (they actually said "God" in the original)

Zeke is... kind of a jerk.... to the one person he was originally the nicest to ...

The X-laws are NOT currently using the power of the Gate of Babyon. It just doesn't work that way.

Faust didn't actually talk this episode originally ....

For those that are confused... (since the dub didn't really say it.)
Amidamaru was once a human spirit, he has since "evolved" and now he is a "sword spirit".

The direction of Anna's english VA, has been REALLY good lately. I especially loved her delivery in this episode.

How does Faust have a big Oversoul like the rest of the group if he never went into the book? Did Anna help him, or did he always have that sort of power, or what?
