Thanks so much, Lovely! You learn something new every day. I'll bring that up in class tommorow! I can't believe Jeanne allowed Marco to hit Lyserg! For a princess of peace, she sure is violent. I was watching the episode with my charges, so I may have missed it. When does the Iron maiden bean Lyserg? When Lyserg falls at the end, I thought that was Marco.

Originally, it was more implied that MARCO threw Jeanne at Lyserg. Though... aparently... Jeanne didn't seem to mind 0_o ... You see, Jeanne can't actually move her iron maiden all that much, hence the reason the X-laws are always pushing the thing around. The dub just added that little voice clip of Jeanne to make it seem like she threw herself at Lyserg. Why? I do not know.

Hey...I noticed something odd about my captions...
When "Mash" spoke, the closed captions called him "Shamash"! That's...very intriguing. Who does the closed captioning anyway?

I think it was because, if Marco had done it, it would be more violent because he's an adult. With it implying Jeanne had done it, it was more kid on kid violence.

Maybe there is a limit to how many times an episode Marco can smack Lyserg around XD .

I think it was because, if Marco had done it, it would be more violent because he's an adult. With it implying Jeanne had done it, it was more kid on kid violence. Im wondering if they have any special logic for kids TV. For example, Anyone throwing a large heavy Metal Object at someone else would be bad, it could be seen as encouraging that kind of behaviour. However if said object, which clearly cant move on its own (even though in this case someone is inside) uses some kind of magic/unknown force to squash a character they can argue that it could never happen in real life so is ok. (Providing they dont really Squash the target of course )

Since when does 4kids abide by any logic? But Gandalf makes a good point about violence that cannot be imitated and therefore can not cause any lawsuits.

Weeeee~ Comparison 43. This comparison is a bit... heavier to read than ussual. Certain parts kind of remind me of a research paper ^^; . This is due in part because of the themes in the episode itself and the fact that I had to look up quite a few things as well ^^;. Eh well, consider this comparison a learning experience. Enjoy~
