Epi 44: The reasons they fight

In comparison to episode 43 episode 44 ends up being a LOT more uplifiting. Certain characters who have sort of been in the background get their time to shine, and .... wow! Opinions will be raised I'm sure ^_~ .

SPOILERS! Note style! ****

Pino's past will probably be watered down a bit. I don't know if the dub will be allowed to say that Pino was going to be used for a sacrifice.

At the begining of the episode, Manta is shown having a nightmare due to the events in episode 43. Manta is so, so, SO cute here! ^___^ ....
*cough* Ah yes, something I noticed today, if you see this scene out of context it could ALMOST come off as being sllightly perverted XD . Yoh-kun... YOH-KUN!!! Sorry, I just noticed that today XD. In context, it's not perverted at all ^_~ .

Fausts speaks! Eliza speaks! And Faust is just a great guy ^_^ . A board member mentioned a while back that his opinion of Faust went down when he discovered that Faust joined the team initially due to selfish reasons. It's great now, because Faust's reasons for following Yoh now is due to TOTALLY UNselfish reasons ^_^. My opinion of Faust shot way up with this episode ^_^ . Ryu was great too. Yoh is very lucky to have those two.

Poor Horohoro gets picked on by Pino a bit ^^; . Places such as

"Hokkaido" and "Ireland" are mentioned as well... sure to be cut out of the dub XD. Geography is for the damned!

"God class", I was wrong, it does NOT just mean a strong Shaman. It also stands for shamans who's "gaurdian spirits" are gods. So, that would make Pino and Jeanne "God Class".

Faust redescovers his love of the living Manta plushie XD .

Amidamaru mentions that it's been 1 year since he met Yoh. So yeah, yoh's 14.

MEPHISTO E ! I'm thinking this name will probably be changed ("Mephisto" is the name of a devil, or in some cases "Satan".)

The end message of the episode. Why does Yoh fight? For fun! Yoh is kind of Zen this episode ^^ . Very calm, even when he finally attacks.****

And Braveheart plays again XD !


Finally, I won't be around to discuss this with you all this weekend. I'm going out of town tomorrow and won't be back 'till late-ish Sunday. No worries~ Saturn and Res should take care of things while I'm gone ^_~ . Be good everyone!

I wish they can play Brave Heart in the background saturday, but 4kids don't play japanese music. They seriously need some english music in the bakground.

Random thoughts + Spoilers **Pino seems to have changed his attitude completely is this epsiode, last epsidoe he told them to stay cool and out of trouble and now hes spoiling for a fight?

Also why does he say 'run into the forsest' when its clearly a cave he's in?

They mention pulling a boat over the north pole but it looked a lot more like they rescued a kid that was chained to a boat. Im guessing a lot of the true background story has been cut out, theres definately no mention of Pino being a sacrifice.

Mephisto E is out and replaced with 'Rise Eliza Rise!' Basically he just continues to call her Eliza, perfectly reasonable change and much better than making up a new name
