Erm... I didn't see one of these, and since the episode is on tomorrow...
Anyway, "baka shonen" means "stupid boy", and I really hate this episode. Because... er, let me spoiler code what happens...
*Okay, so I watched the episode a couple weeks ago, and since chaos is dead, I can't watch it again, so here goes what I remember from memory.
Most of the episode is about Lyserg. This is the ONLY point in the entire series where I can honestly say I hate the kid, and it lasts until episode 58. For these 4 episodes, I truely hate Lyserg.
Anyway, the episode starts (I think) with X-Laws 1 (Marco, Jeanne, and Lyserg) in a battle. They win, but Lyserg won't kill their opponents.
Anyway, we see them working on the Gate of Babylon, and Lyserg's upset that he doesn't have an angel. Marco basically tells him that he's not ready, and that he can't have an angel AND Morphine. Lyserg gets really upset and runs off at this point, leaving Morphine behind.
Somewhere in here, Hao confronts Fudou, trying to get them to join him. They refuse, of course, so Fudou goes "crunchy crunchy." He is the first of many in the next few episodes.
Anyway, the X-Laws get attacked by the losers they beat earlier, and Lyserg jumps in front, saying that he's going to beat them himself (since he sorta got saved earlier). He calls Morphine into the oversoul, but, well, he left her behind earlier, and she's not there. The X-Laws waste (and kill, IIRC) the losers, and when Morphine gets there, Lyserg starts yelling at her, saying it's her fault he looked stupid (no, he did that himself), and that she failed him. He sends her away, and out of the Iron Maiden pops the itty bitty gun. Lyserg now has his own angel.
And, oh yeah, the Gate of Babylon is almost ready.*

Heheheh... now, you know how much of a Lyserg fan I am... and do you realize how hard it was NOT to comment as you guys were getting all excited in the Ep. 53 thread?

I have watched this episode a few times, and I don't hate Lyserg. :3 (Key is such a dense fan girl) The only thing I can safely say is that I hate Hao more...and Marco...*whispers* evil brainwashing Italian.

Yeah...Well, i can't sleep, and i think its cause i'm so excited about this ep. Sooo...*looks at clock* three hours and ten minutes left!

*Lyserg hurts Ryu's feelings really bad in this eppy also.It also makes it the first time we see Ryu's hair all the way down.Is it bad to say that Ryu looks hot even though his heart aches?Poor Ryu-chan....*
I think I got that right I hope.I saw a clip of it and it was about that and him leaving.I still can't belive they're putting this eppy as the season finale.We could use more eppys 4kids!!!><

Thanks for startin' the thread Dess. I was being lazy ^^;.
Haven't had a chance to re-watch the original episode yet. BUT! I have the script. AND this is one of those episodes (originally) that just sticks in your head regardless of how many times you've seen it.
When you think about it, ALL the "bad guys" of the series show their "ugly" side this episode.
SPOILERS****
Hao, in my opinion, did the worst thing he's ever done in the whole series in this episode.
He had absolutely NO reason to pick on Fudou. And that's what it was, Hao was being a bully.
Hao first takes out Fudou's freinds/guardians. Beats up on Fu a bit.. and THEN when Fu releasises he's lost, ONLY THEN does Hao kill him (and destroys his soul as well). Very harsh. Very cruel.
This death just seemed more pre-mediated than many of the others (even the fairy thing seemed sort of impulsive.)
I mean, Fudou has a personality and faith system where you just KNOW he would never consider joining with Hao.****
Now... I have a couple of months to work on these last 4 comparisons. Muwahaha....

Man, I LOVE the spirit of Fire, it is SO well designed, I love his expression when he ate that little squriming worm XD
Man, Fudouh really seemed like he was in agony when he was being burned...
Rest of the episode was fairly good in my opion, the emotions were pretty high it seemed, and the stuff with Silva was cool...His character really showed. I felt so sorry for him.....He is doing the right thing, but....man, tough job.....
Poor Manta being left behind >_<
Marco's expressions were so evil, I mean, he looked like he honestly KNEW he was manipularing Lyserg, and he enjoyed it.....
LOL at gun poping out of Jeanne's maiden...
Ending was quite emotional, even with the uhm, lackluster music.....
I wonder how much it was edited...hmmmm
Anyways, no mention on if there would be a Shaman King movie, or, if it was coming back next season...there was nothing, just the normal lame ending credits roll......
ARG, it is so annoying so much implied future story, knowing they are not going to show the episodes >_<
I do have a question, if, the rest of the episodes are supposed to be completely serious and whatnot, what the hell happens to Chocolov, does he just sorta....not do much or what? Just curious....

Well, after seeing this episode, like all of the X-laws gun's were changed to look less realistic, and I'm determined that Sean Schemmel cannot do emotions very well in a horrible spanish accent.

Whee~ What a rush! ^____^ Lyserg was just so cute in this ep.! And i don't hate him, yeah i feel sorry for Morphine but, i can't hate Lys. As Keyblademastah said, "its Chloe! Lyserg's in trouble" XD its Lassie! Yeah...omg, must mention now. At the end the cricket gun...is...something..thats..not..a...gun..XD when i saw it i waslaughing so hard i cried a little. Poor Morphine... I HATE MEENE'S VOICE! They named her Mina too. But her voice is do deep, and not very emotional. She sounds mean. Fudou rocks, too bad he's gone into the inferno XD When S.O.F opened its mouth to eat him it was scary  ; Marco is creepily cool... I HATE LUCHIST'S VOICE! He sounds like a 80 year old man! XD When Ryu said "You *insert b word i dont think i've heard before and cant remember*" i thought he was gonna say 'you bastards!' Hehe...fun ep. Poor Morphine. My head is so @_@ at the moment from the excitement and stuff, so i'll rewatch it later and maybe add more. WELCOME BACK LYSERG!!!!!!!!!! |

I'm kinda suprised on how Chocolove's joke was handled. (after Ryu is shown in stone)
I was thinking they would cut that bit out completely.

He's was so sad today.I felt like crying everytime Ryu was.And Chole(sorry,can't spell her original name XD) looked sad too.
Also,the way Marco said Meene's name it sounded like he said 'Mina'.Is that how it's supposed to be said like that?
Right now I have to comfort some sad Fudou fans (Pink and Ashil).Excuse me.
One more time:WAAHHH!!!POOR RYU-CHAN!!!! TT_TT
Otay, I'm done but I'm still very sad for Ryu-chan.

Oh yeah! i forgot about that! mitsukai said in the original, when Ryu turned to stone, their all like "He's hardened again.." and then Chocolove's like, "yeah, his dick is hard" XD;;; I thought they handled it pretty well though.
