The spanish version is the original Shaman King, simply translated. No cuts, edits, NADA. Even the OPs and EDs are translated into spanish. pretty good actually...
The only changes are peoples names being romanized (i.e Ren to Len, Sharona to Shalona) but that's not really a big change!
This is because the spanish dub of SK came out BEFORE the english one, so they use the original. But if an english dub comes out before the spanish one. They dub the spanish one using the english dub.
Example: Like Yu-Gi-Oh! The English dub came out first, so the spanish dub is the english dub...ermm...in spanish! Although the voices are way better....
Fun Facts! Thank God CCS was dubbed in spanish first....anyhoo~ Hao's spanish VA does Tomoyo in CCS XD. And Lyserg's spanish VA does Yugi, both versions! whee~ And I think Inuyasha and Horo are the same VA...and Yoh's is also Kuno from Ranma 1/2!
Ok, I'll stop XD I'm mentioning too many!
Hope I didn't confuse you!

Okay I took notes this time and I would like to make a few references to a couple of quotes that I thought were hiliarious. Behold my amazing NOTEPAD!!!!
*holds up notepad like an idiot
1.I thought it was amusing how both Len and Trey were sick of cheeseburgers. Maybe the dub mankin cast is getting sick of the dub edits. Len: Besides, we always eat cheeseburgers!! Trey: Yeah, no more burgers!! (Here here Trey)
2.I liked the first time they ignored Joco. Yoh: So what do you want to eat Len? Len: Anything but Italian. Yoh: Not even pizza? Rio: (sobbing) Lyserg liked pizza. Yoh: Maybe we can find barbecue!!
3.Train Chaser!!! I already mentioned that before though. I thought it was hilarious!!!
4.Joco: You should join my group. It includes me, myself, and I. Len: Well you can all get lost!!!
5.They changed the crepe to a snowcone! And the captions actually spell Jun with an "e". I have no idea why.
6. I loved Ramiro's voice. Ramiro: Listen to me stand up guy. There's not a person alive that'll laugh at that joke.
7. And finally one of Len's last comments. And I believe the closest thing to a compliment to Joco. Len: And unlike Rio and Trey, he tries to be a laughingstock!!
8. Oh yeah, I did like how Len asked Joco what a posse was too.
I think that's it for this week. The notepad works. I'll be using it every week.

that comment what sorta in the original, in the original Ren just says that now they will have three jokers in the group, but I have to admit, I like how the dub put it, it's more comical. ^.^

Geez... I always click "modify" instead of "quote" by mistake. One of these days you guys are going to see your posts changed with a bunch of comments from me ^^; . 1.I thought it was amusing how both Len and Trey were sick of cheeseburgers. Maybe the dub mankin cast is getting sick of the dub edits. Len: Besides, we always eat cheeseburgers!! Trey: Yeah, no more burgers!! (Here here Trey) In the original, it was Ren who wanted Chinese food and HoroHoro was complaining that he was sick of it ^^; . (you'll notice later that they ARE eating Chinese bean/meat buns ^^;. But that could just be the show not realising that those things aren't really common in the U.S ^^;.) HOWEVER, I have to admit that the way the dub put that they were sick of cheesbugers was kind of funny. I think it was the dub writers putting in their own opinion there XD . 5.They changed the crepe to a snowcone! And the captions actually spell Jun with an "e". I have no idea why. Yeah, it seems that even 4kids has the "official dub spelling" of "Jun" for her. The captions often spell things wrong I've noticed. They even spelled the original Dracula's name wrong. And that's something that can be easily looked up! You know... these threads with me and a few others pointing out was was in the original began to make my comparisons seem almost redundant ^^;;; *laughs*. (Not that I mind ^_^ .)

The only thing they kinda edited was the dialog in episode 21 when Konchi and Ponchi wake Tamao up. And Manta's VA does Shippo (InuYasha), Tommy (Rugrats, not anime, but counts)... and a lot others I can't remember, because they are LOTS. Chocolove's VA is James. (Pokémon)

It also depends on who licenses the Spanish and who licenses the English - e.g. 4Kids has Yu-Gi-Oh! in Spanish and English.

ebi: wait, E.G Daily doesn't do manta nor shippo's voice. her voice is easily picked out and i think she can only pull off her tommy and buttercup voice.
and eric stuart doing chocolove? could be a possibility, i'll have to check next episode.

I'm pretty sure Ebi was talking about the Spanish version ^^; . Actually, yes he was...^^ Yeah, Manta's voice is really common with all the little people in spanish dubs....but I just have to comment...Shippou REALLY annoys me.... I've been thinking for a while....what was Joco talking about in the last scene? He wasn't making sense.... In the original it was Lirilara but the dub--->_< I forgot....was it just a bunch of random jokes? Oh, I forgot to mention, the dub calls Mic "Big Mic" *BigMac!* that's a dub addition...as is Joco-war...o_0. I wonder if they're going to keep calling him that...

isn't jacko-war a combo of chocolove's name and the type of cat mic is? and lets hope mic's name is'nt really big mic.

Well, the orignal term used was "Black Jaguar" so.. uh... yeah ^^;. I think it was kind of obvious that THAT term wouldn't be used ^^;;;. The new term is "Joko-uar" combination of Joko's name and "Jaguar". heh.

Yeah, in the original it was just Mic. I like it better that way. Big Mic just sounds kinda corny. >.<
lol, yup, yup. They'd NEVER put a comment like that in, no matter how inocent it was.
