Double posting... but... I have a good reason for it! More .hack info! This time about ANOTHER .hack game! .hack//FRAGMENT, an ACTUAL online game! .... Which in the grand scheme of things kind of sucks for me considering I have neither a network adapter for my PS2 nor a good computer to play online games *cries*. That said, this new game sounds interesting but odd. It connects to BOTH the PS2 and to the PC 0_o ? Also, apparently, in The offline play you can play with anime, game AND the manga characters (Kazu and Komiyan and maybe.... Reki XD !) . Well, we'll see I guess...

**shudders at the name**
Did they have to name it THAT? I mean... any true .hacker knows what FRAGMENT is...

I think the name/reference is intentionall really ^^; . Fragment is just the first version of the world and all...

Of course it's intentional... it's just... I find FRAGMENT very creepy (you did watch Liminality, right?).

Buwhahaha! Creepyness is fun! I wonder who will be the first to go into a coma... or die.(kidding!) In the .hack story. Wasn't there a rumor that someone died during the beta testing of Fragment? I can't really recall... Anyways, heres the official Japanese .hack//Fragment page.

I don't remember... but IIRC, One Sin was during FRAGMENT... and I think that AI BUSTER takes place during FRAGMENT... meaning, we have creepy AIs running around.
Gus- FRAGMENT was the beta version of The World.

I don't remember... but IIRC, One Sin was during FRAGMENT... Really? Wow. I didn't realise Kastuhiko (Orca) and Balmung had been playing THAT long. No wonder those two feel gyped in //GIFT *laughs*. Other people have pointed it out, but I wonder if the //fragement online game will be canon? That is, if it will have anything to do with the actual story. Or if it is just an alternate universe fan-thing .... hmmmm.... Well, online games by their nature aren't ussually that story filled anyways.

I agree. Fragment is probably gonna be Bandai giving the fans what they wanted, a real online version of The World. IT's probably gonna be rather legitamite as far as how it's played. Like you said Lovely online games, especailly games like this aren't very plot filled. They probably have doing just what you did in the original .hack games. Go into the dungeon and get the treasure.
If they don't go back to the Data Bug thing I wonder how they will insert bosses into this game.
//GIFT....HA! That thing was hilarious!! XD

You hate ALL the phases? That's so mean... I mean.... *** Macha!*** I love pretty much all the characters too. But you have to admit, Morganna made a wonderful villan . And the phases and what they represent was rather interesting. I liked Lios in a way too. He redeemed himself towards the end. Though he was still a bit of a pig-head *laughs*. Though it occured to me as I re-watched the series this past week... What ever happened to the REAL Harald? In SIGN and Liminaltiy it is breifly mentioned that he was "missing." EDIT: Oh yeah, back to LIMINALITY. Yes, Bith the black is indeed cool. Concerning .hack//GIFT... That's such wonderful digital crack XD . Oops... sorry about that Ms. Lovely! You're right, I don't hate Macha... I just hated having to fight her (just ask my poor swollen thumbs), but I do admit, fighting Corbenik was 20 times worse . So I stand corrected... I hate 7 of the 8 phases of Morganna ^-^! As for Harald: We will never know if the guy's alive or not... As for Liminality: Bith rocks... but I wonder who Fili the White could have been...

*Huggles her newly aquired .hack/AI buster novel*
Heh heh, I just wanted to show off ^_~ . I freaked out when I happened to see the book in the store yesterday. i haven't gotten very far with it yet though do to being too tired to even read!
Something nifty to point out: The book's cover, and a few illustrations inside are done by Rei Izumi. The same person who did the art for the manga. Cute stuff!

Man, I just finished AI Buster... it's SO good!! And now I wanna re-watch SIGN and play the games again (or at least watch all the cutscenes), and watch Liminality again, 'cuz I'll get more!
Oh, Lovely... I'm at vanman's right now, so I can't check... what was the name that Kamui gave in LoTB for her sempai in the company?

Watarai p115.
I checked last night after I finished AI Buster. I wanted to check a few things.
Random thoughts on the book ^^. **** The assitant "kid" that Watarai can't remember the name of is actually Kamui. That's what I was checking the manga for. The book translates all the pro-nouns concerning the assistant as "him", but I'm guessing that's because the character was gender neutral in Japanese. (can't get away with that in english.) Anyhoo, I know the assistant and Kamui are one and the same now because a lot of the lines that Kamui mentions in //TWILIGHT are said nearly word-for-word in the books. In a way... calling Kamui "he" still sort of works though. Considering Watarai can't even remember Kamui's name ^^;.
Anyhooo.... It seems it was just Balmung who had played Fragment. This book made me really curios about real-life Balmung. I was surprised and really happy that the book covered the "One Sin" event.
ALSO, the apperance of W.B Yeates REALLY surprised me. I can't help but wonder if she's played any other characters we know.
Oh, finally, the most amusing thing about the book to me was that Balmung was in it. That guy is in EVERY .hack story XD .
Oh yes, Final cool thing from looking at the third book of the manga after reading the novel. Lycoris and the Lycoris flowers showing up in key scenese ^^.
