Epi 40: THE BOOK XD !

I basicly thought the episode was fine. It was different, i agree. I really like this episode oh yeah... *worships hao's pants* i agree with resurie that hao does look really cute on the rock awesome episodes really.

Jeanne voice sound much older than she is... jeane is only 11? or 10? int he episode? I know that she is younger than Yoh and his group.


But anyhow, this was really a great episode.

Hey, I noticed something. I was bored, so I started reading the comparisons again. XD Anyhoo~ Lovely mentioned in the episode 25 comparison, that the X-Laws uniforms were edited to remove their logo-thing. Yet in the past 2 episodes, it's left untouched (like in ep. 39, when you see Lyserg, the sleeve that says X-Laws is unaltered). I thought I should note that...it seems a bit strange to me...o_0

On topic! I havent seen the original, but i really liked this eppie. It was....cute. Lyserg was cute, Hao was cute(and seductive! XD), Ren was cute, Yoh was cute, Horo Horo was cute, Jeanne was cute, Manta was cute, Jun was cute(i thought Jun was...uber kawaii on this one ), Tamao was cute......THEY WERE ALL CUTE! @___@;;
Great quotes though i cant remember em and i'm too lazy to play my tape. Yeah, i lurved it when Horo Horo was huggling Kororo it was teh kawaiiest thing! and when Ren kicks Yoh into the portal! XD And Lyserg...nya, he looked sadder than usual in this ep...>> i bet Marco's been hitting him...
As for jeanne, i've read about her so i basically know her personality. I suppose the voice was a bit old sounding for her, but she is pretty mature and it had a matureish feel to it, and sounded kinda...justice-y. I liked it for her personally.
The 4kids logo....oh my god....alright when i saw the commercial for 4kids tv and Manta said it i was like.."NO MANTA!!! COME BACK! COME BACK TO THE LIGHT!!!!" it was so..scary looking....i remember laughing cause it was ugly and wanting to cry cause i wanted the foxbox logo back x.x And the little corner logo kept distracting me from SK at first >=( Basically, it sucks. XP
I luffled this episode! The ending was great XD and this part scared me i was like ?:

XD it was just....odd. Oh and it made me uber sad at the end when Yoh was like, "Lyserg how've ya been?" and then Lyserg just walks away with Marco T-T

In the original, Yoh wasn't quite so "hey WASSUP, Lyserg!!" If you know what I mean, he was a little more suddel in what he said. (i think) *joins everyone else in worshiping hao's pants* This episode is one of the best just for that very reason, we get to see hao's pants. XD

Probably because we all know that no one in the world would think that a pair of pants, that would be completely gawked at in the real world, would look so freakin awesome. I mean... only in anime would they manage to look so cool.

I was getting ready for work while it was on (I recorded it, though), so I haven't watched it yet... but to clear up the "Yoh/Lyserg scene"... No, Yoh does not address Lyserg at all... then again, he doesn't really address Marco, either...

And no, Hao does not say "brother" in the episode. He says "as expected from my..." and fades away.

I didn't believe you all when you said that this episode was startlingly close to the orignal but... IT'S TRUE! I was surprised. The majority of my notes consist of, "GOOD" .

Some notes:
They tried to fix the whole "Shaman Rule Only" thing. Heh. well...

Jeanne's voice. It's reeeaaaallly pretty. But it sounds too old (or I should say "mature" ^^ .) Seriously. When you all see her come out of the Iron Maiden you'll realise how young she is.

Ren's comment of "That which doesn't DESTROY you, makes you stronger." This comment made me laugh because the orignal saying "That which does not kill us, makes us stronger" is pretty well known. I think this comment was made as a subtle joke by the writers to show how silly it is to use the word "destroy" as a substitute all the time ^o^ .

The only reason I can think that they changed the start up screen to the computer is because 4kids fears MS Windows. But honestly, what company DOESN'T fear windows ? The voice? I thought it was kind of cute. It's isn't uncommon for computers on t.v and movies to have a voice anyways *shrugs*.

When Hao/Zeke made the pentegram I think part of his hand motions were cut. I'm not sure though, I'll have to recheck this.

I'm gonna have to look up the swatsika thing. I remember reading about it once, but it's gonna be a pain to look up . DAMN YOU HITLER FOR CHANGING THE MEANING OF THAT SIGN!!!

Yeah, Yoh never said anything specificly to Lyserg... but... it can't be denied that this is the first time they saw each other in a while and neither said anything to each other. Though you all know that I don't advocate change, I will admit that the timing of Yoh saying "Hi" and Lyserg just turning away was interesting.
