*worships hao and his pants, separately* i loved this episode; I recorded it and watched it several times so I could understand what hao was saying in the background when he was describing everyone's ideas of peace or whatever.

And then when he said "Welcome..." Ooh I got shiveries.

Ok, seriously, I think the pants thing is going a bit too far...^^; And I don't think a thread to worship them would be a good idea...but to discuss (sp? o_0) them...mmm...maybe.

Didn't really notice anything wrong with Jeannes voice, maybe a little old but it does give her a certain air of authority. Plus reflecting on future episodes (up to 51 in UK) having her sound too young definately doesn't fit her personality. (though im only going by 4kids dub so the original story could be different)

Basically its a perfectly legitimate thing to draw on ancient clothing, demons etc. as taken in its proper context its a good symbol not a bad one.

I've seen Chucks rattle discussed elsewhere on this board and someone put forward the idea of the X-Laws being responsible adults vs Chuck being a child controled by a child but I think there might be another explanation.

Chucks gun fires bullets, this makes it a real gun and therefore unaccetable in a kids show. Perhaps they are spirit bullets but its still too close to the real thing.

If you watch when the X-Laws use thier weapons, Episode 42 is very good for this, you'll notice its first a beam of light which then turns into thier guardian ghosts. So the X-Laws weapons are somewhere between laser and spirit weapons, which means they can't possibly be real and so 4kids can get away with it.

I thought this episode was great. It really helped you to understand Hao's actions and motives. And that lava scene was just too damn cool.

It was interesting to see Anna express an emotion other that anger. The creepy atmosphere really set the mood when they returned from the portal, and then Yoh breaks the tension with his ever-cheerful attitude! It surprised me to see Hao talking to Manta. He didn't say anything mean, but I just find it odd that he talks to Manta of all people. Maybe he's surprised by his presence there. Oh, I've only seen the dub, is what Hao promised Len what he really wanted? I thought that his desire to return his family to power was a dub addition. Did Hao promise him something different in the original?

Oh, and this episode had more MANTA in it! Yay, Manta, Manta, MANTA! You didn't think I wasn't gonna mention him didja? ^_~

Well, I finally got around to posting my thoughts (all of which have been pretty much covered) but here goes anyways:

Rio screaming at the end was hilarious.

I knew that Yoh didn't say anything to Lyserg, but I thought the addition was fine. (I didn't really know, but the addition was pretty obvious)

I liked Yoh's line about noticing Faust as an excuse to not go through the portal. "Hey. When did Faust get here?
Morty: You are just now noticing him."

Anna's line about anything that increases power in the Asakura family has something to do with caves. It's a requirement. WTF?

I immediatly said tha Hao looks like Sai from Hikaru no Go. Even down to the hair. I agree resurie that I thought Sai was a girl too the first time I read the manga. It wasn't until I looked at the bios in my issue of Jump did I go, "Sai's a guy? Huh, could have fooled me."

Hao's dialouge with Manta. I agree that it wasn't intentionally mean. Hao just makes remarks about how humans are a scouge and all that. It was nice to finally see what he means and why he is doing what he is doing.

EDIT: I forgot about Jeanne!! So glad she doesn't have a french accent. (There's hope for Sanji maybe?) I thought it was good. The part at the end where she gets a breath of air before suffocating some more. I was like ?!

Wife: Where?

Me: You missed it already!

umm every where I look now it's PANTS!! I look at the computer: PANTS! I go to school: PANTS!! I watch tv PANTS! I try to PANTS! get away PANTS! from the PANTS! and it's PANTS! PANTS!

I'm suffocating from the PANTS! I mean they are cool and even my wife said they looked cool. I was like @_@ (NOT HER TOO!!!! XD)

I'll pass this week on worshiping the pants.

*gets gang tackled by all the pants worshipers

Oh yeah, Jeanne. She sounds young but, like Jr., I'm glad she doesn't have a french accent. It's hard to imagine that innocent-looking Jeanne is the leader of the fanatical X-Laws.

Hmm, I'm not so much a worshipper of Hao's pants as I am of his cloak. It looks really cool blowing in the wind, like in that pic.

Pink - I don't remember quite well...but I don't think Hao mentions anything about what the gang wanted. He only said things like "I will make the world better, come with me, blah blah blah"

And yes, it is cool when Hao's cloak blows in the wind, then you get to see Hao shirt-less. >D

Ah, and that cave thing. XD That's not in the original. Why would a cave need to be a requirement? XD If I remember correctly, I think Anna simply says that it would be a good place for it, but not a requirement. XD
