I don't know about anything religious in cards, but someone once claimed there was a swastika in the backround of a golbat card, but it was actually because the swastika is a sign of peace which Hitler had flipped to make it the Nazi symbol. No, Golbat is not a Nazi.

No, Golbat is not a Nazi. Actually, it was a trainer card. There was a golbat in it, and a swastika too. They had to rerelease it without the symbol just to appease the parents.

i wonder if i have that card, without the symbol of course. i think parents try to find these flaws just to have excuses to not buy the stuff for thier kids.
"oh, no hunny you can't get that. that pokemon is a nazi"

I was thinking the same thing, Jr. (I guess great minds really do think alike ;D ). Pokemon isn't just a cartoon; it has tons of video games, a hit TCG, and dozens of merchandise, so the parents probably complained about Pokemon because they actually had to buy something that they thought was stupid for their kids. While Shaman King has all of these things as well, it's not a huge of a hit as Pokemon, and with less demands from the kids to buy more and more, the parents probably don't care if their kids watch a cartoon that they think is stupid, as long as they don't have to pay money for it.

yeah, the most i've seen for shaman king is coloring posters, video games, toys (which are hard to find in stores) TCG (only at certain blockbusters) and the hot wheels.

And you know what else is weird? Hao's Hao-gos say Hao, while the card says Zeke. I noticed that! (Got quite a kick out of it, too! XD)
